And that day at FSM "Lou Sang" dinner the CEO of AMB talked of something along this line, "...we decided to reward investors with a dividend..." I almost wanna start a debate with her laugh.gif

Ptui! Dividend is not rewarding investor, it more like make investor lose money by paying tax...better no need declare dividend save on tax.

If you want dividend sell some units every year.. some thing only tax free!:P

Anyone investing in the newly launched AmAsia Pacific Leisure Dividend? Today's the last day of initial offering. Gonna keep track of it from Monday onwards.

Oh, I remember, u don't invest in foreign equities, u are 100% local, right?

There are opportunities in Asia Ex-Japan region now, sitting out the current uptrend totally could be counterproductive to your portfolio.

And even though Dow and S&P 500 has reached new highs, I'm still buying into global equity bits by bits, what if the rally still got legs? A lot of retail investors are still sitting on the sidelines, the moment they realise, "WTF the market is still going up and up, I'm missing out, I gotta join in too!" the market will go even higher but it could also spell the end of the rally tongue.gif

I have to adhere with EPF restrictions. So, not many funds to choose. Yes i have other choices to switch to other company, but i dont want to go through the hassle. Different forms to signs etc.

I agree with u about foreign market (good for lepaking) because local market is vulnerable right now and moderate volatility. One fund that meets with the characteristics u mention is; CIMB Islamic Balanced Fund.

However, i dont go with "what-if" concept. That is very high risk for me. I only go for sure thing. For instance, i set the target. Once i reach, i ciao. Then start all over again. Look stupid, but my experiment gives me good result. Maybe i will stick to this "concept" for the time being.

This is not mere experiment but a good system. In trading which you're not doing btw, always open a position with pre-determined exit target - either stop loss, profit target and/or time target.

BTW, since you are in CWA, do you know if I can transfer my fund in CWA to FSM? FSM do not have a form to perform this in their website. Thanks.

U have to withdraw first, then pump in back via FSM.

Iirc, no direct transfer. smile.gif

U sell all your units in CWA, then show FSM the redemption advice which will show the value of your holdings in CWA. FSM will then allow u to buy in equivalent amount of funds in FSM free of Sales Charge.

But pls confirm with FSM prior to doing this.

Can anybody remind me which are the 2 dates that CIMB will auto debit for unit trust investment? I know one of them is "6th of the month". But I cannot recall what's the other date. Is it "21st"?
