i get my cobra system installed back on my last service. The problem still could not be identify. SC say the cobra has check the control unit and it working fine.

yesterday i decide to disconnect the alarm myself to have peace of mind so that it wont trigger the alarm itself. Out of my surprise, the siren still working when ppl open the door when the car is armed.

the functions that is not available as below:
- when lock the car, indicator wont notice if there is door not close properly
- in car volumetric sensor no longer function
- no more security code by pass in case ur remote is out of batt (i think need to disconnect the alarm if this happen)

i think basically what left is just the siren still functioning.

nobody have the original from Honda on the nav system. In Malaysia we only have one spec only.

Your brother is the only version that is same to all insight owners have in malaysia at the moment.

I hear insight is stop production next year onward.

The car has been in production since year 2000 and the current one in Malaysia is the 3rd gen, which has a huge population worldwide especially US. This is a flagship hybrid model for honda (just like prius for toyota) i wonder where the rumours of it going to stop production comes from. But if tax exemption really going to end this year, we can expect insight population growth in malaysia to be stagnant (same applicable to prius). Who is going to spend rm150k or more for a car like this? The extra paid for tax is gping to be able to buy lots of fuel that last an average user many years even if he is driving a fuel guzzling 4wd.

Actually Honda insight and Honda civic hybrid is passing out in Europe that why Honda fit hybrid (new gen) use full hybrid system ... Honda Japan didn't deny or say it either ..
