Oh, I'm refering to Note 2 battery performance. Can use it freely. Not scared of having to charge frequently.

the topic on battery life is always very very subjective. How you use your phone may differ a lot from other users.
from what ive observed so far and using mobile data as reference (wifi saves too much juice, no point mentioning), 15-18 hrs with 4-5hrs screen on(6+, maybe) is the average life on a single charge..

my apps working/polling background :
weather update (30m interval), Greader(9 feeds, 1hr interval),
whatsapp, facebook, facebook messenger, twitter, google +
Google Now
GPS, Location 24/7

the only thing i turn off is location reporting. i find this too battery consuming

p/s waiting for samsung to release 4.1.2 so that i can customize pulldown notifications. i wana add nfc/sbeam toggle lol ....

Too lazy to test back. The last round I tested, took me like 2 weeks for the right rom and right kernel.

any of those who faced hissing charger that still using it till now facing any problem in term of performance or physical damage? now I realize my charger also produce such sound..but still perform well charging my phone till full..

If you hear such, just change it. I mean i dont think it will affect the performance of the charger but...lets be safe

so far I'm not sure whether my charger is hissing or not but I hope that it is okay

So far no problem charging my phone during the night and the charging pattern is normal

Bring along your original receipt & your USB cable. And make sure you test it with another USB cable (eg. Note 1 cable) & see if there's sound. Samsung centre will ask for sure. I needa go second trip now

warranty claim will be a bit difficult at my hometown..not near.. so need to be sure before go to Samsung SC..

same here..but who knows.. just asking if got some people who facing charger defect like explode or overheat??

told u so is better u use it then decide whether to buy an additional charger for some u dont even need

It's a personal thing. grey body shells can blend along with the black carbon fiber. If you ask me. White carbon fiber should go well with your phone. For me it's just for the grippy feel and protection. Looks wise if you just stick the back panel it should look great

A proud owner of titanium grey SME set user since last night.
happy with every bit of it...

but i got 2 issues here...

1) the hissing sound from the charger, I charged last night and the hissing sound was quite noticeable when you put it near enough to you and if you have a sensitive ears. I read some posts above, to bear with it or to try with Note 1 usb cable? I dont have that cable, all i have is those galaxy S and galaxy ace usb cable, are they the same? What should I do, send it back to Samsung SC? anyway, I will be going tonight.

2) the usb cable is very loose, it doesn't have that kind of "click" sound/feel when I plug the cable into it... goyang a little only, the cable is loosen and no longer charging already..... are you guys facing this issue too?

I will spend some time later to go through the thread too, but would appreciate if anyone can enlighten me on these.

oh ya, on the side note, the charge aren't they the same across those samsung smartphones? the samsung staff told me it's different voltage for this Note 2 and shouldn't be using other charger, but what if I use my old phone's charger such as Galaxy S or Ace's charger? is it ok?

1) You can send back to samsung for replacement if you want.
2) This one i think you also can complain to them. Its your right as a customer.

You can use you older charger just that it will take longer to charge.

There's nothing wrong if you use other chargers (S2..Ace or S). Only problem is it gonna take much longer to charge compared with Note2 original charger as the output different (2A).
Both the loose cable and hissing sound is not normal though many user choose to just ignore it.
Totally up to you whether you want to change the charger set at service centre. If no stock then it maybe take
some time for you to get a replacement charger.
