Which bike has the shortest head tube aka racer position?

Is it Tarmac or perhaps Bianchi?
*
dun ask lar like we own bike shop... of course smaller frames will result in a shorter head tube... and generally the ones not made as endurance bikes...

if you want to compare similar size between different model and brands.. you have to look at each of them individually as the geometry affects the height of the HT...

else, -17 degree stems is your best friend...

historically, if you look at sister schleck... you can see his bikes have rather tall head tubes... due to his physique...

he gets that pro look by using a very steep stem installed terbalik...and of course slamming that stem like a b!atch in heat...

that is my role in this thread isn't it...

it's a constant tug of war between sensibility and nonsensical..

hopefully i dun learn the one thing from the latter one... DIE YOUNG

now u know! Riding alone Vs Group ride! The improvement are huge!
riding alone can scratch balls, dig nose, cincai meludah merata-rata, scream obscene words, let epic farts rip, stare at pretty girls assets, sms to arrange for post ride massage session, surf porn on phone while riding...

i think those benefits you can't find on group rides...

at the end of the ride... you can boast of the epic ride that you actually never did because no one was there to witness and contradict you... hahahaha

u and mr. jgx terbalik pulak...

but it's true... putting the bearing races into the frame will only allow the manufacturer to make a thinner head tube wall... and the bearings are also smaller to bear loads since they have to sit within the internal diameter of the head tube instead of outboard....

speaking of that... wouldn't BB30 sound like a bad idea as well.. hahaha

I think I can keep up if they managed to ride at 35kmh-40kmh on average speed. I'm not a couch potato anyways. As butthead pointed out earlier, if they maintain that speed uphill..then it's a different story, perhaps can rejoin during a descend..I can ride 50kmh solo for quite sometime and it's proven only with a strong tailwind..else no chance ler:P

Chill la taikor..there's reason I ask here in this thread and not to my lbs. At least I get a meaningful answer and some knowledge more compare to if I ask any chaps in my lbs and that's a fact!  biggrin.gif
And this is what I'm talking about. Thanks for the info..however as much as I love to own a Tarmac Sl4, this Bianchi  Oltre XR looks much more menacing and muscular looking...haihs..
i oso talking c0ck too.. just trying to jerk you around while i look for my facts....buy me some time mar... hahahah

the oltre looks b!tching... but i still prefer the tarmac if i were to buy one for my own.. the bianchi is just too stylo milo for me...

that being said, the oltre can still look sweet...just get some 17 degree stems...

did you make a typo... i heard of riders consuming 9000 calories per day being standard lar... but 19000 is a bit crazy...

in fact he is not considered to be crazy thin... his teammate froome looks more on the ragged edge than he is.. in fact they are worried about him being over excessive on reducing his body weight in the couple of months during the grand tour season...

if he stops cycling.. he will become an obese tub of lard...

wat does watching porn have to do with remembering things... if watching porn makes you remember things.. there is only 3 outcomes to this

1) very evidently, the elderly never or watch very little porn..hence, bad memory or even worst Alzheimers
2) straight-A students must be watching porn all day all night because they can memorize all the shit facts about how a banana fell on hang tuah's head in pulau pinang
3) i will be opening a tuition center teaching kids how to score straight A's by watching porn.. and i will be rich and riding my Parlee Z5sl with carbon everything now and sponsoring my very own LYN cycling team all equipped cervelo R5CAs with SRAM Red and full ceramic speed bearings + lightweight wheels...

watching porn has nothing to do with memory... period...

Change to red and carbon cockpit sure can go below 8kg..and it's not a super bike anyway tongue.gif
your bike is not a elle mcpherson lar... it won't lose weight every time you weigh it dude..

it loses weight when you throw money at it like you do a las vegas stripper...

Not that I don't value but come to think of it if you ride in the road also it will eat up your tire right? Trainer is less abrasive anyway..perhaps I'll buy the trainer tyre soon. The blue colored Victoria for indoor trainer. It costs 180 here..

Too expensive didn't bother (TEDB)
*
not that you don't value... it's just that some people has a merc at home and drives a kancil to pasar. because scared the buffalo testicles will dirty his merc.. and some people will drive the merc to pasar without a spot of bother...

watever u are happy with dude... i don't think the road is more abrasive than a trainer wheel...unless you always lock up your wheels from high speed...

it's not poor bike lover or rich bike lover thing... but we might end up corrupting you...haha...if you are not afraid...

wat are you looking for anyways??? i mean, in a bike of that range... your expectations? any requirements, minimum requirements, any expansion for budget, what you plan in future (upgrade, change better bike, own two or three more bikes)...

this are things that seems like nonsense.. but helps lay out your road map...

Im in Sarawak btw. To get good type of 2 wheels is a dream here.

Only one official Polygon shop in MJC Kuching which is 9 hours drive from my place.
err... that's an unexpected blunder...

polygon is a good budget brand... merida is possibly another one...

let me set your expectations first since i don't have much details on your wants and needs...

for RM1.5k - RM1.8k budget with a reputable brands... you will most likely get an aluminum bike (obviously) with some 8-speed equipment like shimano 2300 and sora mix probably..not to say bad, it is a usable bike...

an upgrade to better equipment means 10-speed 105 will set you back RM1.8k on top of your bike... if you jump to 9speed, it's going to be a complete waste of money...if you feel what i am trying to convey at this point...

done with the upgrade possibilities of the bike...now, onto what you ride....

would you say your routes there are flattish, or a lot of climbs, or rolling conditions? flat routes *might not make you find your budget bike inadequate... but if you are into lots of climbing and you start realizing you need to lighten your equipment or play with wider gear ranges.. here, you are quite stuffed as you will be looking at spending a heck lot to do it...

then comes aesthetics?? does look matter to you? budget bikes are usually made to look less appealing because they want to sell more expensive bikes... i have not much input on that because i don't give a flying crap about looks... but if looks is more important than functionality for you... good luck matey...
