Just wanna ask if anyone of u know any shops that sells carbon road bike frames? Gone to a few shops

Also whats the range of price i'll be looKing at? Not interested in those high grade carbon. Just a normal type.

strange... unless it is shops that operated for more than 3 generations and remains un-changed in their operations... don't see why they don't have carbon...

if you are looking for cheap carbon frames or i.e taiwanese ??? brands... don't bother asking spez or GH speedbikes...

if budget... this are the types of shop you might want to go...

http://www.tbfooksang.com/index.php?route=...gory&path=59_67

they might have stepdragon and stuff...

Ah. Ic, Thanks for the link. Its weird that they have the catalogs but they don't sell seperate frames.

Was hoping to find some reputable brands like Spez, giant, merida, cannondale or trek to be safe.

Not sure if i could get one with a budget of 3k just for the entry level carbon frameset(not complete bike) tho.

3k on the dot, hard....

high 3k or 4k+ most probably...most of the time would be quite near mid range instead o the cheapest...

you can consider like miaopurrs sl3 (look 1 or 2 page back) might be more than you expect but worth it

Ah.

Man sl3 is 5.9k. Way over my budget. And s-works too. Haha. Is there any non s-works with lower price? biggrin.gif

Guess, i'll be looking for a complete carbon bike then since buying the frame individually is not so viable. :/

would u consider a brand new but old spez sl2? 3k+. now it's sl4 already....

with ur budget, n u want a reputable brand, i'd look for a used one from bbs

or u can get a used alu with carbon stays from very very reputable brands, like colnago.... such as this http://bicyclebuysell.com/view_item.php?id=152417

just do a search at bbs. u might find something that suits u

or this one? http://bicyclebuysell.com/view_item.php?id=173945

buying a complete bike will always be cheaper than building one up from scratch.. the groupset price alone will put you into the red zone while manufacturers get special pricing for the OEM groupsets (you just lose some manuals and maybe small little accessories that you will never care for)...

building from scratch is only for when you really can't find a bike you like or the componentry doesn't match what you want... that is when a build up is the only option...

slight worry with 2nd hand carbon as you don't know how the previous owner treats it...especially if they crashed it but it doesn't show up with any dings or scratches on the frame...

that's not cheap... i think a new air at rodalink is 5++ k after discounts...

build it up with 105 and you have to put in another RM1.8k easily, then there is wheels, cockpit... passed 5k by the time you are done...
