I am compiling a list of banks that now allow remote bank account opening along with the requirements. Currently i know the followings :
- Hong Leong Bank
- CIMB Bank
- AmBank
- Alliance Bank
- UOB Bank
- HSBC

Any other banks ?

I think Maybank Mae?

i can't remember from which thread,...just recently a forummer posted that a bank advertised remote opening, but end ups he need to go there personally to have his particular verified before he will receive a PW for opening and also need to go there again to confirm account opened

just seem cannot remember which thread or bank name,....
will try to look for it.

I'm aware of the post. Thanks for bringing it up.

MBSB Bank online account opening process works more like BSN, HSBC and UOB Bank (for HSBC and UOB Bank it's before the recent revamped). Therefore it's not true remote account opening.

Agro Bank offers online account opening too but it's nothing like Hong Leong Bank/CIMB Bank.

OCBC still requires you to go do BIO stamping and wait 1 hour there for debit card... damn

RHB also need to go to branch to collect the debit card. I decided not to activate the account.

On the other hand, Hong Leong Bank will mail you the debit card by standard mail (no tracking/no signature).

Hi, because of housing loan, i need to open a saving account with Ambank, as i'm currently not in malaysia and planning back to malaysia only next year. They are suggesting me open saving account through their apps, but here come the problem, after i tried many times and with different phones, i'm stuck after scanning the IC, its just load white page. Even i reinstall, clear cache, still the same. Anyone have any idea how can i open saving account without physically go to the branch. This is quite urgent.

* i tried call customer service but end up they asking me visit to the branch, but im not convenient to travel to malaysia and then travel out of malaysia at this moment

Only Ambank or other banks is allowed?

only Ambank, the housing loan with ambank is almost 90% completed, and they last minutes told me need to open an saving account

Try again because I suspect the camera scan which is faulty to scan the document hence white screen

i've been doing registration every day since last month. With different phone as well but not able to success. Always shown white screen/page after scanned IC.

I tried opening a joint savings account with my mother. Halfway through the banker told me need to do screening and come back another day. Until now she hasn't called us. Any idea why this might take so long?

I read that there's transaction limit for savings account, Is that so? Meaning you can only perform up to 120 transaction using savings account.
