Hi, because of housing loan, i need to open a saving account with Ambank, as i'm currently not in malaysia and planning back to malaysia only next year. They are suggesting me open saving account through their apps, but here come the problem, after i tried many times and with different phones, i'm stuck after scanning the IC, its just load white page. Even i reinstall, clear cache, still the same. Anyone have any idea how can i open saving account without physically go to the branch. This is quite urgent.

* i tried call customer service but end up they asking me visit to the branch, but im not convenient to travel to malaysia and then travel out of malaysia at this moment

Only Ambank or other banks is allowed?

Depends on the bank itself

For Basic SA there are limits imposed by the banks but it depends on your track records

I been doing more than 150 tranxz per month and there is no limit yet on basic SA

if that is the case,...many would tell you to put into MMF.....
No need to wait mature date
better rate than this 1.41%
*
Simplest solution just put in Frank at 1.8%

The below would then be more appropriate....

1 month rate with anything above OPR would be a few options purely on savings and MMF rclxms.gif

Yes, diversify money holdings and use eFD as stated in my last sentence.

May i know which 2 accounts are they that you mentioned? I've heard alot complaints about CIMB downtime, but hows the security?
I will mostly use this new savings account to create eFD or just leave it there, as main savings account w/o much transaction unless neccesary.
Only access through online/app so security is a concern as i duwan 1 day when i login semua savings habis laugh.gif

Hopefully can get more input from other forumers here.

If liquidity is a concern you will better off putting in Frank at OCBC which you gives you 1.8% pa

Otherwise MMF if you want better savings instead rclxms.gif

Which account are you referring to bro? I know about kawanku, but i can't find much info about 'personal saver account', it looks like related to Maybank One which i don really understand of. No any interest or annual fee or any other info stated.
