Is the free MEPS withdrawal for SCB JumpStart-i unlimited? Can't find any info on the fees pdf file

With above statement from CIMB (for Basic Savings account), is that OK to do online deposit to make it active again? Or must go over counter?

I deposited OTC to be safe.

when I was there, I asked if online deposit or withdrawal considered, staff said yes. <-- didn't want to risk it by testing this theory

If your account is still active and not dormant, you should be able to do online/OTC deposit or withdrawal transaction to keep the account active.
This will reset your account's active date for another 1 year or until you perform another transaction.

basically no time to do otc.. hopefully online transaction is eligible as well.. will call to follow up..

any known banks that allow closing of bank account online?

Maybank Savers/Saver-i Saving account is one that I known of where you can explicitly close its saving a/c online.
Usually banks will closed saving a/c with little or no balance left by charging dormant charges etc until zero balance and close the account after certain number of days.
Can refer to each bank TnC on their saving products.

Up to HSBC 🤦‍♀️ the easiest way is to open basic and close the advance but with HSBC policies these days unlikely they will allow basic account

You shd have your own limit set.. Can check there. Max limit I'm not too sure.

Just visited alliance bank to apply for credit card but got to open a saving account for payment too. Planned to open a bsa on the spot since I've already there but met with bureaucratic branch manager. Got to present with employment letter and shit. I like wtf, its a saving account not a business current account. Sigh.

Doesn't seems like they try to persuade me against opening a bsa with that bs excuse since I haven't mentioned anything bsa related, just saying wanna open a saving account. They made it hard just for the sake for making the shit hard.

Looks like I've got to open an alliance bank saving account online via their mobile app. Just need to scan ic and maybe transfer rm1 for existing other bank account to prove identity, no need employment letter. It won't be bsa but some other type of online only account but at least i won't be asked for blood of my firstborn or some shit like that.
