Had a lunch chat with my colleague, his Persoga is doing phenomenon 6.7litre/100km or 14.9km/litre. Had a wonderful conversation & understand a little bit more on how driving habit significantly affect FC.

1) Changing petrol every tank. He uses 1 tank BhP, follow by another tank of any other brand. His preference is BhP, but the next tank he will choose some other petrol. He doesn't know why, but if he uses BhP continuously, he can only achive between 13-14km/l. I took a wild guess, to confuse the ECU, do not let it adapt to similar firing sequence/ignition timing. 1 tank 14km/l, another tank 16km/l. Everytime RM38/20litre. Sometimes 320km lite up, sometimes 280 lite up.

2) Never fill up full tank. He doesn't know why, he guessed if full tank the car carry more weight, result in bad FC. I was query on the reliability since its not full tank, but he denied saying consistently doing between 280-320km. If not reliable, there will be often seeing 1 time fuel up drop below 280km, coz petrol being over utilized by previous tank. So, I think the arguement is legit.

3) At red lights, N gear. When turn green, engage D, release brake, let the car roll before step on gas pedal. Maintain gentle pedal work, let 4AT gradually upshift around 2krpm.

4) Empty boot. Clean air filter. Minimal electrical usage besides of aircon+radio. Clean interior as well. He said sand & dust also got weight. He only weighted 45kg

So, I guess its about time to lose weight. I hope this benefit some 4AT poor soul. The pesoga is standard M line 2010 model. Gradually travel between cheras - jalan ipoh - selayang. Mixture of IRR and city traffic. Just these few tips I got from him

Seriously it's become nightmare to me (after replace with stock door visor and totally regret.If see what happen to my door frame,

if you want to double sure , apply a layer of 3m chemical first before sticking your tape on both the visor and the car part

1. Changing petrol brand/source @every refill : Feel this way one eliminates certain "factors" (some uknowats...) and thus provide a more balanced supply of reasonably "GOOD" Q fuel....
2. Yup, less petrol in tank = lighter load = better efficiency re weight : power ratio. This is often practised even in F1 GP situations...
3. Selection of N @traffic lights stops...this reduces load on engine & thereby reduces FC...
4. And yup, here, too! Reduction in Weight:Power ratio as in 2 abv. We carry lotsa unnecessary "junk" in our boot...most of which we nvr use nor touch at all! Agreed? And ya lo, with a Driver-less car, FC wld be even further reduced!! Haha!

Btw, are yu so much overweight, Bro? That yu need 2lose weight?

Feel anyone who decides 2buy a Gaga, definitely did NOT make his decision based on GOOD FC feature...but more cos of 4its other features....
As such, 2complain abt its FC is akin 2Crying Over Spilt Milk! Or am I so wrong?

Me am very happy with Gaga FC cos compared 2my ole gen Saga:
a. me getting similar FC as ole Saga which was 1.5 3AT!
b. me now using RON95 instead of 97 ie savings of abt RM1/L...
c. me saved abt RM10k in purchase price, not incl interest on that xtra RM10k loan (compared 2a more econ make but costs much much more) which wld pay for years of filling her up!!

How fat is fat -_- That statement makes a lot of us down. FYI, I'm also a little giant at 80kg :x But if lose weight on the car helps, why not? I might not get 6.7litre/100km, I certainly hope to reduce fuel consumption on my GaGa. I know persona normally does around 12~13km/litre already very geng. But the guy can do 14 and above consistently, which I think there must be something we can learn from.

Ofcourse he also mentioned some other stuff like never wait inside the car with idling engine + aircon, which we already know. So I didn't touch those bits, just wanted to share some of his idea that I've never thought about.

Not crying out loud, but I've got so used to 15cents/km. Suddenly a GaGa make me pay almost close to 20cents/km really butt hurt. I'm putting a lot of hope to improve on fuel efficiency, even got into a fight with some senior member(unoehu i tok about) regarding FC issues.
