QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 11 2013, 11:53 AM) This time, the shopping voucher must be under Supermarket code for the 30%. Is Groceries based on the Merchant Name or MCC ?Where to buy this Petrol card and Dining card? As we know AEON Supermarket uses same MCC as departmental store. Shell & Petronas have petrol cards available. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 11 2013, 03:03 PM) Agree... such high % Cashback of course First Come, First Serve... There is one TnC to deny this.IMHO, spend on the first day would surely can get QUOTE If the Weekly Cap cannot fulfil the total cash back amount for all Successful Participants with a same Qualifying Date, 30% Cash Back will be awarded starting from a Successful Participant with the highest total monetary amount of all Retail Purchases made by the Successful Participant in that particular Weekly Cycle which has been posted and captured by Citibank during that particular Weekly Cycle. For RM50K weekly cap, only RM166,666.66 spent from whole Malaysia is needed to hit the cap which can be easily achieved. It needs only 333.33 card members to spend RM500 on the first clock of Saturday. Too difficult to win. This post has been edited by aeiou228: Apr 11 2013, 03:36 PM |

Do you really hold a Citibank card... If yes, what's the harm to enroll. [to clarify - aeiou228 wrote "I will not enroll" before edit & i am not a die hard Citi fan
Someone gave similar analysis in some old thread, but we got what we want last round This post has been edited by Vemicelli: Apr 11 2013, 06:38 PM |

QUOTE(-Matrix- @ Apr 11 2013, 10:49 AM) Latest Citibank CASHBACK 30% Starts this Saturday (13-Apr-2013) the page says this promo is for all cards. so, if using a "points" card, still get points, i guess. but if using the platinum cashback card, is the normal cashback still running on top of this promo if one succeeds in getting this 30% cashback?- Groceries (any amount) - Dining (any amount) - Petrol (any amount) - Anything Else (any amount) - TOTAL Weekly Spend = RM500.00 - Promotions ends 21-June-2013 https://www.citibank.com.my/english/promo/3...back/index.html cheers ... also, interesting to note for this promo, a few more stores on the list: Groceries - Giant, Cold Storage, Mercato, Jasons Food Hall, AEON, Tesco, AEON Big (formerly known as Carrefour), Mydin, Econsave, The Store/Pacific, Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Billion, NSK, Servay, 99 Speedmart, and Everrise, in Malaysia. would be nice if the cashback card have them too on a permanent basis but now only these: 2% cash rebate on all spending on groceries at AEON Big (formerly known as Carrefour), Tesco, Cold Storage, Giant, Everise, Servay, Econsave and Mydin, limited to a monthly spend of RM3,000 to earn the rebate (or limited to a monthly rebate of RM60); This post has been edited by AVFAN: Apr 11 2013, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 11 2013, 12:33 PM) Is Groceries based on the Merchant Name or MCC ? I am not sure on this, but at least I can confirm that the voucher counter at my place is listed as SMKT (AMEX 15% cash back experience) so either way works for me. As we know AEON Supermarket uses same MCC as departmental store. Shell & Petronas have petrol cards available. The cap is low but I guess it is fair since it lasts for 10 weeks. |

Previous 30% CB promo (Oct-Dec2012):
"A total weekly cash back amount of RM125,000 (“Weekly Cap”) is allocated to each Weekly Cycle and is given to each Successful Participant up to a maximum of RM100 per Weekly Cycle (“Individual Weekly Cap”), on a First-Come, First-Served basis (as defined below) until the Weekly Cap is met." Which means at least 1250 persons qualified for the CB per weekly cycle. For Current promo roughly 3 to 4 hundred will qualify per week, so even you qualify on the first day of the weekly cycle, you still have lesser chances than the previous promo, not "sure get". This condition will kick in if the CB is exceeded: If the Weekly Cap cannot fulfil the total cash back amount for all Successful Participants with a same Qualifying Date, 30% Cash Back will be awarded starting from a Successful Participant with the highest total monetary amount of all Retail Purchases made by the Successful Participant in that particular Weekly Cycle which has been posted and captured by Citibank during that particular Weekly Cycle. So spend wisely. |
