I thought there is another proton edar fb which replies all the customer complaints.
*
The latest email that we received from them, this seem to be one.
Perhaps after EON + Proton Edar, they want something they works together as a pure Proton instead of Proton Edar + EON

Coundn't find the terms and condition though clearly states "*Terms and Conditions apply"..  rclxub.gif
*
Preve CFE, discount by Proton 2k
Extra discount, based on how much dealer willing to give you.

If u can get total 3.5k to 4k, by all mean, go for it.

Hey guys, I'm buying Preve this month and I wanna ask about the offer given by Proton. I called and confirm about the 3years free service / RM 2000 rebate.

If 3years it is 3years/100,000km free service + labor + part which ever comes first.
Or the sales advisor gives me RM 5500 but without 3years free service..
If I were to choose the 3years free service, the SA will give me RM3,5k rebate also. So which is better?

RM5500 rebate without any free service OR
RM3500 + 3years/100,000km free service which ever comes first.?
*
By using present value calculation with the current inflation rate, rebate is the way to go.

RM5500 is impressive, never see such offer before. They selling below margin, throw more than they making. This is weird

Just got my preve... And found out theres alot of rattling noise, especially revving the engine, alot of vibration.... Engine mounting problem?
*
Its normal to have rattling noise in Preve. whistling.gif

Visit your nearest service centre, they can minimise the rattling noise.

Engine mounting MOD + turbo pressure hose mod aka german sausages will improve your driving experience.

QUOTE(JAYworm @ Dec 6 2012, 01:10 PM)
I bet its cause by car weight and not the cvt gearbox, 1600cc pushing a 1300kg car is reluctantly sweat.gif need to rev to 1500-2000 rpm to make it move, below 1500 rpm the car move too slow or the car jerky when above 2000 rpm.

Fuel comsuption - 2.0 car normally have 1 litre/ 10km, i saw most preve owner getting this figures, luckilly i didnt sell my vios, working day drive vios and preve as weekend car  thumbup.gif

NVH - i guess noise can be lower down if i managed to settle the engine mounting problem, the vibration cause alot noise. My 2nd tires will be continental CC5 as it working very well on my vios. The rear dashbord is nightmare for me rclxub.gif but car roof sound proof is better than vios when raining.

Good point - exterior car build quite solid, doors, bonnet, truck.
Car abit harsh at low speed, but stable at high speed.
Acceleration very well, nvr feel any underpower at slope.
Alot feature, im amaze with the gps, good sound system cool.gif

Still not regret getting preve as my second car, after get rid  the problem prve definately a great car thumbup.gif
*
Good sound system?? shocking.gif shocking.gif

Try the latest ECU/TCU mapping, and report to us your finding.
If possible, perform turbo hose mod with cable ties aka german sausages.
Engine mounting mod with fuel line hose too.

Speedometer instrument panel and rear speaker board rattling sound can be solved at service centre. Join Prevoc @ FB for more info.

Is the sound system in Preve not good? For me it is good enough. I generally listen to orchestral music and instrumentals. Default settings is rather bland but after adjusting the treble and bass I find it sounds good enough.
*
The head unit is decent but not the stock speaker.
Perhaps I do have some requirement when come to sound.

Its just normal, when u turn up the volume, basically the bass will give up on you.
It isn't much detail either from the stock speaker.

If you listening to CD or high quality mp3 most of the time, you will feel the difference. Else stock speakers will do just ok.

Under the hot sun, open the bonnet, open the headlamp bulb cover at the back, let it dry for like 10 to 15 minutes, put back the bulb cover and try again.

If remain the same, claim warranty. biggrin.gif

ryuken74, you can claim under warranty if you want to.
but to me if simple drying can solve the issue, I wouldn't want them to open my parts. Later if here or there scratch, tak best sudah

Does anyone here owned both inspira 1.8 and preve cfe? In your opinion which is more worth for money
*
Inspira
Year 2008 Design
Built Quality Better - Less Defect, since is matured product
2 airbags
ABS, EBD
Higher roadtax and insurance premium
3 years warranty

Preve CFE
Year 2012 Design
There are QA issues to be rectified
4 airbags
ABS, EBD, TC and ESC
Cheaper roadtax and insurance premium
5 years warranty

I chosen Preve CFE over Inspira 2.0E few months back and never look back.

One question, how to enter coordinate in preve?
*
With the HU its not possible.
The only thing you can do is create custom POI file with computer to input the coordinate into the asc file and download into Preve CFE Gps

I use notepad++ to input the coordinate myself.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Notice the gap within coordinate and words, only this format will show correctly into the CFE GPS

How to convert to decimal if 5°24'19"N  100°12'27"E
And the format is East/West, North/South, "Name"?
*
Input the coordinate of what you found, put into google map. Click on the arrow and click "what's here", only keep 4 decimal point for the coordinate will do.

CFE GPs format would be "Longtitude (West/East) , Latitude (North/South) "

Just follow the format will do, else u can try edit the file attached with Notepad++, to check the format.

Thanks again bro.

BTw, I saw someone posted before converter that converts other GPS file into Preve format. Someone can post here again? Thanks.
*
I believe that person might be me.
You can use GPS Babel to convert Garmin Custom POI files into TomTom asc file format.
Somehow TomTom asc format isn't exactly the same as CFE GPS, need to modify a bit to fit into CFE GPS.

Need to make sure the space between coordinate follow the CFE Gps requirement.

QUOTE(JJTam @ Dec 9 2012, 02:33 PM)
Hi guys, I had a midnight drive to Genting with full load and the drive was rather pleasant. Didn't feel any bit of lack of power, the only annoying thing was the vibration before the rpm hits 2k, so what I did was, I down shift to the previous gear and then up shift to minimized the vibration. Managed to smoke a Latio, vios and city on up hill drive. None the less my friends were impressed with the car, which makes me feel even better. I was damn afraid of road block, because my car has a second layer of ecotint smoke 20 on top of the standard tint. I had the front windscreen tint strip and installed ecotint ray barrier, because the standard one was literally rubbish in heat rejection.

On the other hand I feel pretty bad for my car, because it's still in the burn in period and is scheduled for the first service tomorrow. I heard that there's ECU and TCU update for Preve CFE with chassis number below 24k, after my friend had it done and according to him the car has evolved into a greater beast.

My conclusion is, the Preve CFE is truely a great car and I am happy that I made the right decision. Cheers.
*
try the engine mounting MOD, turbo pressure hose with cable ties, new ECU/TCU remap, it will reduce the low end engine vibration.

This is what I don't get. I see this happen at idle on Honda Accords, BMW 3 Series and MB E-Class. After some time they seem to squeak at idle. Get moving however they are inaudible. I'm curious why this happens?
*
All Honda cars equipped with automatic belt tensioner.
After few years, the spring beneath it will weaken and need to replaced as a whole unit.

Shall we mention those as common wear and tear items of Honda? These belt tensioner for City/Civic/Accord usually cost at least RM550....to replace, not including labour.
