QUOTE(rich8833 @ Dec 15 2012, 12:41 PM) yup, nice one to promote our PR3VOC Club. Full tank as in 40 litre (start blinking) or 50 litre?First time my car goes passed 500km per full tank with the Melaka trip. Added on December 15, 2012, 7:27 pmThere is something classic to be shared on the Prevoc Convoy today to Teluk Intan for Mohd Aizat Idris wedding. Somewhere along the route there was a road block with police with armed weapons. He did let go Khairol Azizi's car (lead car) and stopped me somehow (2nd car) and throw me several questions. Police : You orang convoy ke? Me : Ya bang, 11 kereta pergi member wedding kat Teluk Intan. Dia juga Preve owner. Police : Apa club ni? HQ kat mana? Siapa ketua? Me : Oh....ini Club Prevoc. Kita tak ada HQ, semua internet based, ada website and facebook group. Ketua? Dia dah cabut, depan saya tu..... (Sorry Khairol, I won't want him to kacau people at the back or phone Jerie Lim) Police : Ini club untuk Preve turbo saja ke? Me : Tidak, semua kita mengalu-alukan Police : Oh....saya mau join !!!! Me : Tunggu bang, I tulis itu website bagi dalam kertas Busy looking for a paper and I found this in my glovebox..... Kenn Teoh sticked the flyers on several Preve he met in Sitiawan too. What are you waiting for? The story above is real, and can be agreed the policer (if he does join the club soon, I hope he will) ![]() This post has been edited by allenultra: Dec 15 2012, 07:27 PM |

QUOTE(Ultrajo @ Dec 17 2012, 09:32 PM) Hi all! Newbie here, just get my CFE last saturday 1 wk after loan apprvd by RHB @ 2.68%. Ride is superb but got 2 3 common annoying issue such slow accelaration, vibrating feel when heavy braking n uneven rear boot allignment. Can't wait to finish running-in period so can lenjan kawkaw hehehe! Slow acceleration, ECU/TCU remap. You can also try the turbo pressure hose with cable ties tighten it.Vibrating feel on heavy braking, engine mounting design (too much gap, not able to absorb all the vibration). Either a revised version of engine mounting or you can try the engine mounting mod with fuel hose. Uneven rear boot alignment, because of the boot lid striker. Send to service centre to rectify it. |

QUOTE(RattleSnaKe @ Dec 19 2012, 10:55 PM) Some opinion after driving the Preve CFE for few weeks, the engine quite willing, love the handling, the front very stiff, so it turns in very well. Ride quality is quite "continental", abit hard but not stiff enough to be jarring. The CVT feels abit funny since it masks your speed really well, sometimes I speed accidentally since the engine sounds unstressed. Not sure the car has the remapped ECU or not since it is not my personal car. The FC is sort of terrible in city drive, 7km/L only but it includes some "testing sessions conducted in high speeds". I never had issue with HU keep ejecting CD, first time heard so. Perhaps a lemon unit?Unfortunately I did encounter some Proton signature build quality, which means that the front driver window has a funny sound when used in a hot day, The Head unit/GPS keeps ejecting and then pull the CD back in continuosly, slightly uneven panel gaps, and flimsy plastics. Besides, anyone thinks the seats are mounted quite high in the car? I drive with the driver seat at its lowest position and it still feels auite lofty. The front passenger seat is even higher, like sitting in a MPV (maybe cause of the Exora platform?). About the seat, I'm not sure what car you are comparing with because Preve isn't design to be sporty sedan, unlike the GEN-2. I'm not sure for your case but me as a 187cm, I feel quite comfortable with driver seat (lowest position) and passenger seat (hardly there anyway). |

QUOTE(rognales @ Dec 27 2012, 04:20 PM) Wax and Coat, possible.Never polish a brand new car, unless being hit by some damage. Polish will reduce the thickness of the clear coat, it will expose your car more to any exterior hazardous. Wax is highly recommended, cheaper solution. With proper washing method, one wax layer applied should last 4 to 5 months. Coating? Heard its good. very expensive somehow |

QUOTE(deity01 @ Dec 31 2012, 09:38 AM) well, I am not expert but GT website stated bax 2 are performance tyre...dry wet grip at high speed is good for me...I drive max also 140km/h only.. Performance tyre won't be threadwear 360, traction just A anyway.BAX2 is more on high treadwear tyre with a little bit of performance. GT Radial BAX 2 - Tyrereview.co.uk So far only 2 feedback from users but I do pretty much agreed with the performance of BAX2. High speed traction of dry/wet is normal, certainly not on the good side. Anyway, enjoy the ride |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 1 2013, 03:34 AM) ICE for me is like once i setup finish my front stage then i will stop there, maybe 3-5yrs later only i go 4ch or not even going for it. Expensive stuff.. for me i just wan a better sound when i drive car, that's it. The speaker size 6.5 inch fit in no problem, but problem is the speaker screw may need to mod abit, better u add 1 normal speaker baffle lo.. no need cut hole don worry. If wan change ICE, better plan properly lo... don later u listen liao no good wan change again.. better just go for a decent one and stay there until one day u too many money then u only upgrade for more immerse and fuller sound, 4ch+subwoofer. I play SQ one btw. 4channels amp can come very cheap, get a used unit if you think a new one very expensive. Some of the local brand actually very good, just that because of less branding in it, it can come way cheaper than those expensive units.Happy New Year and wish everyone driving/enjoying their preve safely Some of the HU with built-in amplifier, 50Wx4, which actually enough to drive some of the component speakers + subwoofer. You can go for active setup with some of the players around, Clarion CZ702A or Pioneer 80PRS. For SQ, STP soundproof full package, a decent HU, good component speakers, a good 4 channels amp, active subwoofer or passive subwoofer (another 2 channels amp). Done Common midbass that I know is 6", will require to drill some holes on the door panel to fit properly (dun think that will affect warranty, if it so, that's being too harsh). QUOTE(G K Lai @ Jan 1 2013, 04:43 PM) Sorry for bringing this off topic out again, but I just want to ask a quick question: I doubt that many subwoofer (let alone active) is capable enough to output sound at 25hz-35hz range. Even those who able to sound good at the range of 40hz - 50hz are considered as very good.By using Preve's stock HU, does simply add an Active Sub-Woofer (underneath front seat) advisable if I don't want messy mod to the wiring? Never used an Active Sub-Woofer before, what I want is just low frequencies, like within 25Hz-35Hz, can a small woofer like this (compare to passive option) deliver low frequencies? The mid punch for stock system is enough for me. You want to read a bit more in the link below. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2558419&hl= I set my subwoofer to only play all the frequency at 63hz and below, so far serving me very well, bass very punchy and good. On SQ mode anyway. FYI, I'm using a 10" active subwoofer. Added on January 1, 2013, 6:04 pm QUOTE(dy246 @ Jan 1 2013, 04:32 PM) Hi all, Perhaps referring to service will do, or map the latest ECU/TCU mapping. This morning, after refueling my preve, i used the normal starting procedure : 1. Slot in key, Press start button 2. Press SB again to turn ignition on 3. Put foot on brake & press SB when green light is on But when the green light came on, i kept my foot on brake (as usual), and pressed the SB, the car just shut itself off. Did this a few times, until I tried a different procedure: 1. Slot in key 2. Put foot on brake & hold the SB till engine starts After doing this, I drove off and the SID display kept indicating "press brake pedal" Is this normal? My car has only 650km on the odo & I have an appt with COSE on the 3rd to solve rusty exhaust, wind noise & enquire abt reverse camera. I only got the car 2 weeks ago, C/N 17*** Thanks Your usual starting sequence are correct. This post has been edited by allenultra: Jan 1 2013, 06:04 PM |

cz702a is a good HU with built-in crossover and time alignment. Read several good review online.
As compared to 80prs, it does somehow come with less adjustable EQ band, no 18db octave selectable slope but I must say cz702a is a great player. Much cheaper than 80prs. A good tuner will bring out the best of cz702a/80prs I will want to listen to cz702a one day soon. G K Lai, I'm not sure how low frequency you want the bass to be but there always some trade off for more space though... Small active sub won't work, get a big one. Something like mine, 10" active sub. It doesn't transfer bass to the whole car like my big subwoofer used to me but me and my passenger (when there is someone) can feel the more than enough bass whenever required. I'm more tune to SQ though This post has been edited by allenultra: Jan 1 2013, 07:22 PM |

I live around Pandan Indah, where is nearest proton service centre that can do all the above? Or contact back my SA? Chassis 17k 2. Send back to service centre and check. Something to do with brake system (disc brake, brake pad, etc). Btw low speed or high speed jerking? 3. Hissing sound? Above 2k rpm or below 2k rpm? 4. Go remap then 5. Do it again.
