QUOTE(excelint @ Nov 20 2012, 08:02 PM) ok, i have been following this preve thread a few days. Those all sorts of problems are easily fixable. They are looking for methods to improve here and there, and many of them already SOLVED.in term of performance and spec, i have no doubt preve win hand down when comparing to vios, almera. proton did very impressive in this preve. nothing to deny. however, i found the quality is still a problem to Proton. even though it might be just some small issues, but it will keep giving me headache to go SC, complain, follow up and etc.. well, i am quite busy with my work, these small issues is going to kill me. could i conclude that, if i want a peace of mind, i should say No, and avoid Preve? hope preve owner could give me neutral comment on my above statement. thank you Its not like any of those small problems that will affect the safety of your vehicle cruising on the roads. |

I actually whack 160km/h even before 1st service.
After 1st service, engine will be smoother, more refined, less "grinding" sound. Again that was b4 the ECU/TCU mapping. With new ECU/TCU mapping, engine mounting fuel line hose MOD, turbo pressure house cable ties mod, the driving experience is seriously good NOW |

QUOTE(edwinkbs @ Nov 20 2012, 09:24 PM) The lower the cheaper or more expensive? I thought oil thicker better. Anyway, got so many which one to choose? Syntium 800 5w-30 syntium 1000,2000,4000. Proton cars do not recommend any 5w30 oil for their vehicles somehow but I know where you can purchase them. @arthur, EON sg pinang SC got 5w 30? Or need to buy outside and give them? Try head to any Suzuki service centre nearby, all suzuki vehicles are using 5w30. Its either semi or fully, 4litre or 3 litre pack. 4 litre semi, selling around RM97. Those are all Petronas API SM grade, rebadged oil. |

I remember.....around RM170 to Rm180....
Just purchase the 4 litre. Have to check again tomorrow, its generally cheaper than buying Petronas engine oil at any Proton Edar service centre. No idea why but for us Suzuki, Suzuki Malaysia Automobile do get us a better offer than Proton though..... This post has been edited by allenultra: Nov 20 2012, 10:11 PM |

Too thin may cause engine oil leaking perhaps? Not advisable for new engine, that's for sure.
Not all cars designed to run with thinner oil, especially those not properly maintained. |

more than 10km per l in high traffic congestion? with 1300kg++, I doubt it.
I do think even Vios barely can do that. No ESC, no auto wiper, no cruise control, no auto light, no side airbags, no GPS, no rear bootlid spoiler, no TURBO !!! |

QUOTE(yoongzhen.lee @ Nov 20 2012, 11:37 PM) In terms of fuel economy, the CVT-equipped Prevé Executive is rated to be the best of the lot sipping on only 5.8L/100km, whereas the manual transmission Executive drinks 0.4L more at 6.2L/100km and finally the Premium drinks 6.6L/100km Depend on your driving pattern anyway.I got this from a website ... Means Exe auto version better than Manual better than premium , in term of FC .... Am i right ? If you read the brochure, those FC was recorded at 90km/h constantly. Around 2000rpm, max torque kicks in. How often you can maintain that figure? You won't be able to save much from each tank? RM10? Per month perhaps around RM50? A year is RM600? I would prefer a car that I enjoy driving more rather than the small saving in fuel. Added on November 21, 2012, 12:00 am QUOTE(vinorgouki @ Nov 20 2012, 11:43 PM) Currently im using liqui moly semi syn 10w-30. Plan to to change to fully syn on my next service. No idea bro. I usually go for the one that I can get easily, affordable and change on time. Its an enhanced Campro, not Lambo....I dun think I want to feed it with top range engine oil....Proton recommended Petronas anyway....unless certain brand can give me huge performance gain and good FC, which I doubt......But donno how good is liqui moly fully syn 0w-30 engine oil. Which brand will u choose for fully syn engine oil bro? Never use fully syn b4, all the time semi. Change every 5k This post has been edited by allenultra: Nov 21 2012, 12:02 AM |

U sure?
As I know, for CFE variant, its either 2k rebates or 3 years free service. Exe CVT and Manual? There are no rebates nor free service package. You sure your SA telling u the truth? The extra discount after 2k, would come from the dealer themselves. |

Max also 150/160 only. Preve isn't design to drive 200km/h constantly. Just want to make sure 120-150km/h no issue with latest mapping, for those who following my post in prevoc FB, I have remapped ECU/TCU twice. EA? Ya. Go get some racun behind heading back to Ipoh after dinner |

First mapping, tried on highway, 120 to 150km/h, the car barely able to accelerate even at full throttle.
City driving experience is great somehow. Did mapping few days ago. Tomorrow will have long stretch of 200km++ to test |
