Yes, this is possible. My first scb card late last year full $300. Second card (through ps agent) is $55 + $245. Scb cs said 30 days but it was less than that for the waiting period. Anyway, all is good.

I also terminated one of my new card (with my old business visa) and today i receive a call frpm PS that I need to hold it for 11 months. I requested for a black and white for this, and I was told this is stipulated in the terms and condition. I mentioned that I have read all the documentation and there is no such clause. The agent finally admitted that there is no such terms and conditions.

I was requested to write in my request for termination, but I told the agent that I have emailed an official letter to SCB, and apparently it was not passed to them. So the agent will check with her side and contact me tomorrow.

$300 cash back for platinum cards. After minus the $50 gov tax, only left $250. Can't remember what amount SCB offerred for gold cards. Cash back given is $55 (this is to offset the $50 gov tax + $5 remaining) and $245.

I just checked the SCB website. Can't find the $300 cash back promotion when I click on the Apply Now button. Hmm...

Price Solution person told me if keep the card for 7 months, will get commission without penalty. I suppose if application gets approved, card activation, duration, etc are factored into their commission.

Call in and ask where's the point of origin and quickly clarify before your money goes missing more..

This is normal for most cc when pumping petrol. I got it when using scb card. My first time. But I know my other friends got it for other bank cc.

Called sc

1. RM200 will be deducted from everytransaction of the acc.
2. Will be credited by to acc after 7 days. (which i think quite ridiculious)
3. cash back need 45 working days.
4. RM68 max per day, the excess cash back will bring forward to next month.

1. this is standard across all petrol stations for all credit/debit cards, some even deduct RM250
2. what is so ridiculous here? they money they deducted are not even yours to begin with (debit card aside)

To avoid RM200/250 being deducted, go and swipe at the cashier counter or preset the amount/litre at the kiosk if you are able to do so

standard? i use mbb, ocbc, citibank cc, dun have this thing pun
only mbb dedit card they deduct rm100 for first transaction only
maybe this is NEW STANDARD，perhaps
if i pumped 3 times petrol per day, rm600 deducted

yes, RM200/250 will be deducted each time because the bank has no idea how much exactly u are going to pump after you swipe
it will be refunded once the petrol station has submitted the final amount to the bank for processing, normally less than 7 days

you don't receive sms from mbb doesn't mean they don't deduct, and i bet you don't receive sms from mbb for most of your transactions

stad chart cs said the deducted rm200 will all reflect on the bill
my mbb bill dun have this reflection
