My wife received statement but yet to get the card

Indicated cash back RM300.

In the statement shows RM50 service tax

RM100 joining fees

RM300 annual fees.

So need to pay RM150?

I just received SMS say my card application was successful.

any idea how long will I get my card?

seems year end, maybe I will get the card next year?

she told me SCB now using snail mail aka normal post
no signature required

could it take more than 7 working days to reach me?
I dont want get it on nexttt yearrrrr

The business platinum card is entitle of AF waiver for first 2 years? It is not shown in their website.

Choosing the gift + 15% petrol rebate is better than RM300 cashback right?
If you pump RM400 per month X 15% is RM60, 6 months is RM360, provided the 8.7 Mil rebate haven't finish yet.

wondering how long the card takes to reach you ?

i got a SMS on monday saying the card is en route
but on thursday still not here, i'm just worried that its missing in the post or sent to wrong people.

Is there any last day to apply for SCB cards to get that RM 300 cash back?

Since it is approaching year end, I plan to apply only in January 2013 and submit in my Jan 2013 payslip which I will get in mid of Jan.

Er, I just recalled that I rejected their offer earlier this year when they called and offered me their Business VISA Platinum. Not sure if they are going to consider my application this round, coincidentally for BVP as well.

Added on December 28, 2012, 2:08 amAlso, since I seldom go back hometown these days. Can I choose the office address as correspondence address but just for temporarily? Just to get them sent my card to office instead of hometown else I'll need to travel back just for this card. (Assuming if they approve my application)

Then, after I receive my card, I need to change it back to my hometown's address, is that possible? I believe SCB has online statements, so I don't really need physical statements actually.

Just put your company address for delivery. Once you receive the card, request to change the address. Better dont make the CS confuse now.

I don't plan to confuse them now but had bad experience with my Maybank card whereby keep telling them I need it to be delivered to office yet it sent back to my hometown.

about how long the SCB card will reach us after receive sms for the application approved?

i do not own any CC before, this is my first application of CC after 7 years of working

one more noob question, is that ok to pay SCB bills through MEPS transfer from other bank? assume that i do not have any Saving Acct or any other Acct with SC.

Sorry guys just got my old credit card canceled yesterday.
Had patiently ask for the new policy...and called why we (the loyal old customers ) could not get the nice offer as new card does...
The answer I got is not sure and maybe wait until half year...sorry this is not my intention to get this card. My normal classic card does better.
Just share my experience when canceling at branch. They will first call HQ to get confirm. Then later pass u to tones of ppl incharge & ask tones of questions...not to mention the waiting time...
The last fellow keep reminding me that I have to keep the card for 6 months after waived the card $300 annual fee b4 cancel.....
I got fed up and raise my voice that [ there's no agreement to me that it's a must to keep holding it so long. Don't tel me if I cancel my card, I have to pay that 300? And if I could not get the original benefit of cc, whats the point of using it. Unless u can tell me now I  still eligible to this benefit. ] Then he pin point of new policy. I stress again When the New policy comin out..? [If u cannot confirm that, then pls cancel it.]

Finally he agreed cancel it. I then request the cs to cut my card on the spot.

But just in case. I still checking my CC acc until it's finally canceled.
So for those new cc holders. Enjoy while u still can.

The bank is not bad. Just that I no longer need it's service when the original benefit was no longer enjoy by us. We lost the same reason we applying it.
Although I might consider it again if need to. But ofcos, they may rejected me by history.

As I said. I go to branch office. I think it can be cancel through phone. But no formal black or white document, I try avoiding it.

Emailed to SCB to ask my application status, since no news for 3weeks.
And they replied my application has unsuccessful.

My first time apply for CC...and first time rejected.

RM250 is free for us right?

it is not just RM300 cash back, there is an additional RM100 as in my case. However it is only  for my Plat Visa and Master.
My SC visa and MC both came with  RM300 cash back each. Minus GST RM50 i spent off the RM250 in each card.
I also received cash back RM300 for my Preferred World MC, minus GST RM50 i spent off the  RM250.

I thought that was the end of SC cards usage.

The subsequent statement came, stated there in my VIsa and Master C, there is another cashback RM100 in each card! Iam surprised also.
. But no additional cash back for the Preferred world MC.
So total cashback for new customer applied the cards in November is RM 400 each for Visa and MC, but only RM300 for World MC.

Anybody received similar CB like this?
