my scb card annual fees was waived without any issue for the past years, now they say got such regulation and they cant waive it.
is there such BNM regulation that prohibit annual fees waiver? Any idea?
if that's the case, i better cancel all cards, lol
*
Annual fee waiver is up to the bank's discretion. Applicants who signed up already know that there will be an annual fee involved, unless it is stated clearly no annual fee.

When I saw online that GST was charged to my Visa Plat, I called the CS to cancel the card. I was counter-offered to keep the card and SCB will credit rm50 to offset the GST and waive the annual fee.

If I get RM55 cash back then RM195 cash back, I not entitled to the 15% petrol cash back?
I remember I choose for the touch n go card package.

that's interesting ... haven't try using groupon before ... but wonders how they define "For first-time credit card customers of Standard Chartered Bank" ... if i cancel "All" my standchart cc and after cooling period of 6-mths then i would be considered a fresh first-time credit card customer thereafter? ...

then it would encourage consumers to cancel all their cards (that doesn't have any benefits) and wait for the next available benefits to apply again - and the process repeats itself again & again & again - no more customer loyalty rclxms.gif

I just got the RM55 rebate, do we need to make any transactions to activate the RM245 rebate?

if you get the RM55 cash-back, you will get the Touch N Go signup offer, right ?

I clicked on the up to RM300 rebate when i signed up late. So i hope its not the touch and go offer.

I read that it is disbursed as RM55 then RM245 on the following month. Is it true?

No need. I kept it until I got full $300 (actually, it's $250 after gov tax).

ya, after few considerations still think that SC cards are good during new sign-up. upon then, should spend using cards like MBB2cards, Ocbc to get better cash rebates or points. Every new sign-up package is attractive. but not for existing customers. i wont if existing customer cancel their card, what's the duration of cooling period before they re-apply with SC plus eligible for new sign-up promotions

i apply for touch and go offer, but looking at my statement, i got RM55 last month, and RM 245 today. So that means i am not eligible for the 15% petrol rebate anymore?
