Finally received my CB for standard chartered rm300.

CS informed me before twice that i will not get the 300 CB but will received TNG/smart tag + rm55 + 15% petrol CB. maybe need to stop using this to fill in petrol

Agree with cempedaklife. If apply directly to the bank without any agent involve, nobody gets the commission.

So we can cancel the card without remorse after 1 month?

I think it'll depend on the goodwill of the CS you talk to.

as said, the tnc mentioned that the card should be active throughout the promotion period.

My gf applied through groupon with free photobook also get her RM300 rebate on 15/1/2013.

All 3 cards get RM55 rebate on the date of approval. RM 245 on 15/1/2013. No minimum swipe required as long as the card was activated. Called my agent few times regarding rebate before.. For my gf, email regarding rebate through their online banking.

Yup, this card is nearing its 2 years anniversary. The 0.5% cashback (now suspended) served me well.

i got total RM300, although i only got RM55 in the beginning.

just read the whole 20+ pages in the thread and the SCB Terms and Conditions. Just to RECONFIRM my understanding about the new promo.

1) No annual fee for 2 years.
2) If i apply online for the cash rebate option (I have Smarttag already) I will get RM55 , and plus RM300 into the card. Its like RM355 free cash.
3) On top of that 15% rebate till end of July for Petrol subject to the 8 million plus Quota.

I am happy with my current credit card, thinking of getting the card for the promos. Not exactly going to use it long term . Theres a clause in the T&C. Is it safe to say, i can apply now. Use the RM355 rebate to buy stuff, then on the 10th month cancel it.?



And is it too late to apply now and get approved before 31/1

1. Yes
2. $300 cash back only. If you apply online, can see the full $300 cash back once you activate your cc online account.
3. Different promo for 15% petrol rebate (tied to smartag n $55 cb)

You can still apply now and qualify for the cashback. I applied quite late and near the dateline. Got the cb.

anyway, it's about a month apart only...

RM300 or RM250 or is it RM300 for platinum and RM250 for gold?

and I heard that the amount is not straight away available right? like they give u RM50 each month right?
