I know about the TnC, as it says within 3 months. So I was just reporting that I still haven't got it yet, and I was hoping that they will send it earlier.

received sms on 31st dec that my application has been approved and sent to my address
until today havent got the card

mine was about 2 weeks apart too

i called their CS
CS said they send it using normal post
i stay in cheras
within klang valley need 2 weeks?

bear in mind that, the status in system might be card is approved and sent to customer,

however, underlying, there is still a lot of process, print the card, bundle together with leaflet, and pack it into an envelope, wait to be pickup by own staff to one common place to be pick up by pos malaysia, pos malaysia to pick up...bla bla bla and there's still the process in pos malaysia...

u think it's as fast as email?

My Renewal SCB Plat. took 6 Weeks to Sampai... (by Postlaju)
From I get Sms early Nov. (which the Old 1 nearly expire) said they have sent out the Card till I call up the CS to complain X received my replacement Card at mid-Dec 2012

Wherelse, Others Bank need only 3-5 days to sent the Card to ppl, Citibank the Best...
Today, you get they card approval 2morow the card sudah sampai from KL to Penang also by Poslaju...

asked to cancel, then they call back..offer the GST offset..i asked for the RM100 retention cash..but they say only for selected customer..so i said proceed with cancellation pls. too bad. used to like SCB.

I got invitation by SCB to become preferred banking customer and I'm holding preferred world debit & credit now. Actually what are the benefits of becoming preferred banking customer beside the 1% unlimited cash back on debit card?

No priority counter service? No privilege parking? Then what's the point to sign up preferred membership?

from experience, yes they do send out via normal pos, cuz u need the activation code sent to u via sms to activate the card so normal pos is save enough for them.

SCB customer service is really going down the drain. No one bother to reply to my email or message at the online banking system.

Jz sign up for SCB credit card last week. Looking forward to get my RM300 before cancelling it....LOL

Only credit card that I've ever use so far is Maybankard 2 Card, which I'm still using... :-)

it is not just RM300 cash back, there is an additional RM100 as in my case. However it is only for my Plat Visa and Master.


My SC visa and MC both came with RM300 cash back each. Minus GST RM50 i spent off the RM250 in each card.
I also received cash back RM300 for my Preferred World MC, minus GST RM50 i spent off the RM250.

I thought that was the end of SC cards usage.

The subsequent statement came, stated there in my VIsa and Master C, there is another cashback RM100 in each card! Iam surprised also.
. But no additional cash back for the Preferred world MC.


So total cashback for new customer applied the cards in November is RM 400 each for Visa and MC, but only RM300 for World MC.

Anybody received similar CB like this?

yeap..mine is like that as well..which is unexpected.

however, more and more of my frens reported they just get initial rm55 cashback, i advise all to call CS, and seems like not all of CS know what's going on, some ask this and that, kena scold baru say actually need wait 30/45 days before the remaining will be in the account.

some CS know straightaway and answer accordingly.

SC is really nice to some of us!! I applied online - on 25.10.12. Received the visa and MC on 17.11.12 with RM300 in each statement.
I spent off the RM250 on each of both cards on 5.12.12.

Next statement dated 9.1.2013 showed----> 13.12.2012 Cashback - transaction no.348000984156 - RM100 CR in Visa Plat
13.12.12 Cash back - transaction no. 34800984929 - RM100 CR in Plat MC.



The CB came with transaction numbers..........dont know if it is reward for using the cards quickly or what.........



Received my World MC on 29.11.12 and I also spent off that RM250 on 5.12.12 but, no magic RM100 CR pulak, puzzling..

for me, i got the rm300 cashback, minus rm50, left rm250, didn't do any transactions, get another rm100, and now...still no transaction..lol..rm350 still intact.
