I am looking for HOMESTAY or BUDGET HOTEL for me & my wife to stay in KUCHING for several days (more than 7 days) from 27th NOV 2010 - 4th DEC 2010. Please advice for LOW RATE ACCOMODATION..

Sentral Hotel is quite expensive.
I would suggest you to book early at Myhotel to avoid disappointment. As far as I know, only can do phone booking there. No online booking available yet.
The next best hotel is Summer View Hotel located just further down the road.

I would like to find the cheapest hotel near Sunway Lagoon. Stay for about 2 nights. I also hope that I can go to Sunway Lagoon by just walking a few minutes without any extra transportation. Check-in date around any day in late November to early December.

So, anyone please advise.

There are few budget hotels beside & opposite Sunway Pyramid, The nearest budget for sure is Sun Inn just beside Sunway Lagoon. You can check here:

Otherwise, linked to Sunway Pyramid & Lagoon are the 2 resort hotels..Sunway Resort (5 stars) & Sunway Tower Hotel Both also not cheap.

Checked the Sun Inn. No comments for the facilities provided since it is a budget hotel. By looking at the google earth, the distance is not suitable for walking with children. Also, safety during the journey for walking from the hotel to Sunway Lagoon is very concerned.

Budget about RM2xx per night. Sunway Pyramid cost RM4xx per room per night. Any alternative?

huh? The location is just beside Pyramid wor. No need to cross the NPE highway. No more liao beside & at the back of Pyramid except the 2 expensive Hotels mentioned earlier. You probably mistaken the Sun Inn opposite Pyramid at Sunway mentari?

Others all opposite the NPE highway (Sunway Mentari) even worst- not suitable & dangerous to cross over..

Anyway there are atleast 5 more budget hotels at Sunway Mentari i.e Romeo Inn, Sun Inn (Mentari), Juliet Inn, Oscar Inn & Sunview. All of them for sure dangerous bcos of the highway

Although the 1st page is 2006, but that page has been continuously updated Those links to hotels & even booking sites are to the latest but I'm not sure any dead link.

Based on the photo, it's just located behind Public Bank Bricfield & walking distance to KL Monorail last station & also KL Sentral. Very strategic! good choice. Also noted it's very new..so wth any new hotel, probably still clean
YMCA opposite that area.. but it's a very OLD hotel..not sure about the condition too..
Yeah summerview right opposite on the same row wth YMCA..anyway all those hotels are startegic for sure although you still need monorail to goto KL. Brickfield is consider 2nd Little India of KL. & not really centre of KL although having the ctr railway line there.

I need advice on cheap hotel in bandar utama area..clean n no nonsense type..just to stay over the night before get to LCCT by 6am the next day.

How long to travel by taxi to lcct from bandar utama n how much?

I only know Tune Hotel in Kota Damansara.. since u need to be at LCCT the early of next day, y not u jz stay around LCCT there?

since we will be kota damansara for the day, thought it will be more convenient if we stay around the area , then take a cab to lcct early next morning

It will be just a few hrs of sleep..so not prepared to pay for One world hotel range

i saw Sun inn in sunway...at RM 85..is this one ok?
is it easy to catch a cab to lcct early morning from here?

Kota Damansara = RM85
Sunway = RM65

30% midnight surcharges for transfer within 12.00am to 6:00am to Airport

my friend plan to stay around the area during holiday, he spent a day at Sun Inns hotel before(http://www.suninnhotel.com/), which was okay for rm80, but this time would like find cheaper yet still adequate room (prefer have TV & wifi net access) as he would be staying for 3 days.

any suggestions? hopefully one with personal experience & the place is walking distance to shopping areas.

based on ur fren's requirement, sun inn is among the cheapest there lor...

those cheaper one i wouldn't recommend as most of them are chicken coop

guys.....me and my friend (2 of us, guys) will be heading down to KL for Malaysia Open in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil

Our travel period will be 30th September reach KL and 4th October leave KL

Which budget hotel is value for money and it is within walking distance to Star LRT station.

We have a problem is that when we reach LCCT on 30th September, it will be already 12am and next day 11am is our game.

One option is we found a hotel near KL Sentral, walking distance, so we can take the last bus to KL Sentral, then walk to the hotel. It's call My Hotel@Sentral.

2nd option is that we stay in tune hotel for a nite ( my brother told me to call up Tune hotel LCCT to let them know I'll be checking in at 12am and leaving at 7am in order to try and see can get half price or not) then only morning travel to a new hotel. But because of reaching new hotel early, i dunnu whether can check in or not

I've look at Cube Hotel (Bukit Bintang), Citin Hotel (Pudu), Phoenix Hotel (Jalan Sungai Besi) and lastly My Hotel@Sentral (KL Sentral)

Any travel plan for me and my friend because we both cracked our head to get the best travel plan but the problem is the time we reach KL and the match is morning 11am next day.

Our budget is rm400 for 4 nights for 2 person. So you can see we are at the very low budget trip:)

If i were to book online, need surcharge of around RM50.

Reason I pick up this hotel becoz its nearby major shopping mall. Added to that, it was a new hotel operating since last year.
