Better add a little more and stay at Lucky Hotel in Ipoh.
Price at only RM78 and you can get a big spacious hotel room compare to the budget hotel.

I'm travel from KL, want to arrive at Penang on Saturday morning. Not prefer to drive at night. So I plan to depart from KL on Friday, and stay a night somewhere near Taiping. Any hotel suggest? Prefer to be cheap and near highway.

North Yes. Kamunting exit but D don't think the new hotel not far from Kamunting bus station is cheap. SSL Trader Hotel. Also ~ 8km from Kamunting toll plaza..Almsot similar distance if you enter from teh South to Taiping town area..There are lotsa cheap hotels in the Town ctr but other than Legend Inn & Sri Malaysia, dunno how's the condition of those pre-war style hotels

Welcome. ^^

Hi, i knew there's a pinned thread about cheap hotel in KL. However, the thread was kind of confusing as it did not state the rate of the room and also turned out to be a mess as all those luxurious hotel were included in. So may i know is there any good , cheap and affordable hotel for student like us in KL? I heard tune hotel was an ex- hospital , which mean the hospital might be haunted . >.< We don't want those hooker place that full with prostitution. Please help us, Thank you. *We are girls*

Well, locals in KL only know about the location as we don't stay there and also not sure about the condition. For price, just visit those website all call them..I know there are lotsa budget hotels surrounding Bkt Bintang (opposite KL Police station) and also surrounding Petaling st too..

For budget hotels for sure there are those activities..No choice. wan but those are also hotels those foreign backpackers love to go bcos it's cheap..

Yes stayorange I hv posted on 1st pg too & even recommended earlier in similar thread you & your friend opened at Kopitiam Q&A. As i said, I dunno the condition but on the location, it is right beside Mc Donald Petaling street.

Very clean from what I saw & very boutique quality just like Tune.
