I believe that if those booking sites can offer good rate, so does the hotel. I'd use those booking sites as reference for the rate, then book through the hotel's official website.

Anyone has got contact for A'Famosa Villa for rent for the weekend? Prefer direct with owner and not with the management office. Thanks!

Hello guys and girls, hope you all can help. I will be going kl for short courses which last 15 days. I don't have transport and accommodation there so I hope there is someone who is willing to become my guide at KL. Of course, I will pay some money for the services. I need it urgently. Thanks. smile.gif

Since your courses is taking place in Phileo Damansara, maybe you could try booking a room in Eastin Hotel. It is walking distance to Phileo Damansara. You save costing on transportation with this arrangement. smile.gif

I recently stayed in The Chateau located in Rawang.

To be honest, it's the best Bed & Breakfast homes in Klang Valley, and one of the best in Malaysia.

It offers 5 star service to the usual B&B offerings. There's wi-fi, Astro, beautiful scenery, amazing toilets and a restaurant.

The rooms are really cheap! VIP suite for RM168! And the rooms are nice with art canvas paintings of Buddhism, Renaissance and Enlightenment era.

The top floor has a nice room for BBQ, reading and general relaxing. Nice atmosphere and a decent view, though some of the houses surrounding the view can be a buzzkill.

The Hotel is far away from KL since it's in Rawang, but if you can sacrifice travelling 30 minutes from KL to Rawang and vice versa while you're in Malaysia, then that is good.

The Chateau also offers drivers to drive you to KL & Malacca, including nightlife tours to MOS & Zouk!

Haven't tried the food yet, but i will try the breakfast. So far there are no reviews of this B&B, but this might be the first.

However, i wouldn't recommend it for family travel, since it can be quite boring to kids and eventhough they have a games room, it doubles as a seminar & meeting room so if there is a meeting going on, your kids won't be able to use the games room.

In conclusion, this is great B&B. Great scenery, nice place to stay and wi-fi!

I recommend it to: Hippie Backpackers looking for 5-star treatment or foreign businessmen who wants to get away from generic 5-star hotels and prefer countryside-styled stay.

Not recommend it to: Families or anyone who wants to stay near KL or are easily distracted by dull buildings that are chewing great sceneries

Rating: 3.5 out of 5
