Anyone here is experiencing problems with the exhaust system? Mine has terrible knocking sound. Damn angry.. everytime the RPM drops low, the knocking sound will appear near the manifold.

cant help it, I must quote this:
QUOTE(lonewolf @ Jul 14 2008, 03:40 PM) Breaking power?! ROFL QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 14 2008, 06:02 PM) Best bodykit to me would be the SE bodykit. You'll never go wrong with OEM bodykits. Any other bodykit seems to be 'weird' looking. Unless you have changed the front face to Coure. Coure's bodyparts really nice. |

u mean the tailpipe???
yes its typical of kelisas to have a vibrating tailpipe. and agree with farique... SE (2nd gen) bodykit is the best looking one imho. all u need is to lower the car and pair it with the right rims and kowtim. color of the car and rims helps alot as well. best of all its legal if ur car is a 1st gen then change to 2nd gen bumpers and get the bodykit. thats what i did with mine. |

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 14 2008, 06:21 PM) Talking bout the muffler unit, I've had my time with it. The cause? Rust. The pipe connecting the muffler to the tip were broken/disconnected or in bahasa, 'putus'. Basically, the muffler tip with the pipe were left hanging on the hook and weren't connected to the muffler at all. So, whenever I take on corners (roundabout), the hanging muffler tip and the broken pipe will just hit the absorber and make noises like 'klang.. klung..' At first I thought it was the absorber making the noise. But when inspected, to my believe it was the muffler pipe. Got it replaced the muffler till the muffler tip with a brand new unit. Can't remember the price though. Now the car idles more politely than previous. QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 14 2008, 08:38 PM) That is what we call the 2nd generation. That front skirt is quite similar to the OEM 2nd Gen SE bodykit but, slightly different. |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 14 2008, 06:52 PM) Yes. The tailpipes are shaking like a rattlesnake's tail. But I have got a problem coming from the front. Sounds like the the vibrating parts is knocking into something when the rpm is low. And then, the 'drum' of the exhaust will burst easily. |

i went to the workshop on saturday and guess what i discovered?
i need to change my gearbox it seems that the part where the drive shaft goes in has worn out, causing the driveshaft to be loose and not fit properly. and because the driveshaft is loose, the gearbox oil is leaking..... haih anyone knows how much its gonna cost to change and the kelisa auto gearbox? any difference between 1st gen and 2nd gen (especially in terms of ratios?) |
