dono what brand..i do it at PSC...the engin part is ok..just that my eksoz is vibrate when idle..is it just a screw prob??
*
if it's from PSC, you can safe assured the mountings are original and are meant for Kelisa.

How bad is the vibration of the exhaust? was it just the mufler tip? or the whole system (including the s-flow box)?

hey guys... juz changed my fish piping system. Now struggling go for either open pod or drop in filter. Open pod increase more torque but hv to do heat shield. Drop in may not increase much torque but easy to maintain. Any idea?
*
it's all up to you. If you can afford doing the heat shield, then open pod is the way. If you can't afford doing heat shield, drop-in is the easiest way. Tho, drop-in may needed to adjust the stock AI to CAI. nod.gif

A friend of mine did his CAI by drill holes (the honey-comb grill) of the front grille and use el-cheapo aluminum heat tunnel (more like washing machine drain pipe actually tongue.gif ) channel cold air direct to the drop-in box.

i heard open pod for auto is noisy, kinda lik huge air suck into ur engine during higher rev..
*
what makes you think the transmission has anything to do with the noise?

regardless of the transmission type, open pod is noisy. Just like vaccum cleaner kind of sound.

A merc (dont know what model but it's an old type) hit the car from behind at the traffic light near to Zecon's tower in Satok. Time of accident around 7:30 ~ 8:00 pm last nite. The merc driver might have 'day dreaming' for awhile and accidentally hit the car. Based on the images posted, the merc did tried to avoid hence the huge dent of the backside only on the right side.

mun body jak sikda hal. tok, absober pun kenak juak. leaking gik ya. sweat.gif

the driver of the merc are in their 50s~60s I guess. They said they'll bear all the repair cost.

wasn't me driving tho. It was my brother.

dont know how long have to wait for the car to done. sleep.gif

anybody here has any exterior mods like skirts? need some reco to fit my 6 year old kelisa biggrin.gif time for make over, like queer eye but less the gayness..hahaha

found a TS http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/447255 selling all sorts of pro2 kits..
*
sad to say that, Kelisa doesn't have any aftermarket bodyparts to fit with.

Easy way is to get it fixed with first generation SE bodykit (much easy since yours is the first generation) or, a lil complicated way is to fix the 2nd gen SE bodykit. A bit costly since need to replace the front bumper, front grille, front indicators and front lower air intake.

Or, just do what most Kelisa driver do, use RAV4 sideskirts (the one with triangle net). Looks good. But, the height is a lil bit alien as the skirt is really low. Front bumper need to use custom make ones to get the low level stance balance (front, side and rear).

Or, look for Coure's front bodypart and custom fix it to the Kelisa. Dont use the front headlamp if you dont want to get into trouble with RTD. smile.gif

minimal increase? like how many horsepower/torque?

QUOTE(vixxiee @ Oct 30 2008, 03:50 PM)
kelisa tyre is 165/55 R14 n myvi is 175/65 R14 if im not wrong..myb have to change then
*
whenever you want to increase the rim size, the tyre size need to decrease as well. Do not stick to the same tyre profile when having the rim size added.

Like Kelisa's R13 will have 60 series, R14 with 55 series and R15 with 50 series.

and for extreme user with R16 will have 45 series while R17 user will need to hunt down for 40 and 35 series. These are low profile tyres. Expensive tho.

argh..

how do I remove clear coat off from the windscreen and the entire car body panels?

Apparently, my brother parked the car next to in-paint process car. So, the dust(s) of the clear coat sticks to whole car. Not visible on the body parts but, it is very visible on the windscreen. Visible as in small dots like water beads.

I have no problem driving it, but somehow the windscreen is killing the wiper blade. I think. The windscreen is no longer smooth; same goes to the entire body parts. You can physically feel the roughness of the body sufaces.

How do I remove 'em?

I think on the body part can be polished by buffer machine right? But what about the windscreen?

bear with me,

in Japan, cars which got into an accident badly and the owner decided not to get it fixed (Japan's labour cost is freaking expensive) hence sold the car to a scrapyard. From there, the scrapyard guys will see if the car worthy to be sent out for exportation (when there's a demand) and then, the guys will cut the car into 2 pieces (normally). Like you would have guessed, the 2 pieces are front cut and rear cut. These 2 pieces will be sent out via cargo (container).

Then, after few weeks on the sea, the cargo arrives here in Malaysia (and other parts of the world) and the cargo will be taken away by the 'Kedai Potong' and sell the front cut and the rear cut. Most of the time (I think, it has been always) the pieces are called half-cut since it's a half of the car hence, the word of halfcut.

Be aware, there are car in Japan which had minor accident or no accident at all being cut into 2 piece and sent out. And, when it comes here, some people will eventually weld the 2 parts (front and back) all together and drive it on the road illegally with fake reg plate and even fake roadtax.

Guyz..my right light (the small light, not headlight) will burn every 2 weeks..
Perodua SC says it's caused by the aircond compressor grounding and the voltage stabilizer I installed..

What u guyz think?? hmm.gif

I don't think it's caused by that bcz it happened since before I install the above mentioned..
*
it is called parking light or running light.

is the bulb replaced same rating with the OEM? Maybe the bulb replaced too small compared to the original item hence the overpower flowing through hence the burnt.

My right hand side burnt a week ago. I'm lazy to get it replaced. lol

guys, something wrong happened to my car. She's leaking engine oil.

okay, after searching for the source of leakage, finally found that the O-ring/oil seal is dead and got it replaced. The O-ring replaced is the one that returns the oil from oil-filter to the rocker cover. Dont know exactly the name of that thing.

I suspect that was the reason of the leaking because the cam-pulley cover side (left side if view from front side) were wet of engine oil. The oil were almost all over that side but luckily not so much got through the pulley-cover or else, it'll screw the cam belt.

so then, after a week or so, it started leaking again. I dont know what else went wrong. A friend told me to get the engine washed so that I could see where the engine oil leaks from but, I'm not too sure if washing engine is a good option?

the oil drops somewhere next to the drain plug. Sometimes, I see the oil leak is a little watery. Mixed with water? Probably aircond water.. not sure. unsure.gif

I'm afraid if the head need to be skimmed. unsure.gif

go to a car wash and get the engine washed like ur friend suggested....

once the engine is clean then u can identify easier where the leak is coming from
*
sent it for engine wash.. turns out to be not really a good thing. Engine bay isn't as clean as I expected. But some of the places are cleaner than before.. but no showroom kind of clean here.

the desease is getting worse each day.

the thing that wonders me is, the oil drips on the floor isn't thick. It is somewhat mixed with water. Any explaination on how this happens?

and no, nothing to do with rain or wet road. It was a very dry day.

could anyone list down the most probable cause of engine oil leak?
1.
2.

just wanna get my funds ready if worse come to worse.
