I'm not sure KIA can claim or not.
My friend with his myvi has this bloating problem..the Myvi SC said can claim under manufacture warranty (Silverstone) using trade-in system. They will see the thread of your tyre then there will be a discount price based on the thread and manufactured date.

this is what the SC guy told me when i called him..mine oledi 7k plus so dunno can claim or not. but according to him, KIA is not responsible, we need to go to Silverstone office or workshop at subang. and they will measure how much or thread (in percentage) you have used and pay back for what u have used.

Is that mean if more than 5k mileage, we can not claim to change the tyre??

Hi,

Any Forte owners in the Subang area? Was wondering which is the best option to send my car for the 10,000km service. From the Naza website, I found the following to be nearby:

NSS GLENMARIE SHAH ALAM
NS AUTO USJ S/B
NAZA KIA MALAYSIA RED CUBE PETALING JAYA
NAZA KIA MALAYSIA PUCHONG
NAZA KIA MALAYSIA KOTA DAMANSARA
KOREAN INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE S/B (sunway damansara)

Appreciate your advice.

TQ.

Added on December 12, 2012, 11:44 amHi,

Dunno whether it is due to highway driving using cruise control or due to my car reaching 10K service, but my car fuel consumption seems to be improving. Last week I drove from Muar to Legoland and back to Muar and after that back to KL all in 1 tank of petrol. Mileage easily break 600km before DTE <50km.

Getting about 7.5L/100km for that trip on the odometer. Refueled 48L of petrol. Caltex RON95.

More interesting is after refuel, my L/100km seem to be better even on city drive. half tank already gone odometer show 10.2 L/100km. Previously I am getting closer to 11L or 11.xL/100km.

Just wondering whether it is due to highway driving continuously using cruise control over 600km or due to engine getting used to engine oil nearing the 10K service.

I think it should be due to cruising on highway for long period of time. Previously never did cruising at 110km/h for long period.

Anyone knows.

Many factor could impact FC. Weather and tempreture is one of it. 2ndly, change of speed (thats why highway always give the best FC)...

Another thing very important is how HEAVY you floor your pedal (yes alot will said i never floor but in your trip meter option there is a free for you to monitor the throttle...)

understood all that. And previously also have monitor the instant fuel consumption. But all I can say is i'm driving like normal and after the highway experience fuel consumption "seems" to improve. Maybe the engine just "broke" in @ 10K. will monitor and see whether improvement stays or back to getting 400+ mileage only.

my personal opinion.

you doing it right!!
after long highway cruise...u will get low average...let say 7.x...after another fuel up, the average seem bit lower. macam the car follow previous average. laugh.gif

i always do this; after fuel up, drive long way with constant speed <80kmh. about 20minutes or so.
last night i isi...recorded 505km...with 66km DTE. (mostly all previous fuel up i will get this number +-... )
i'm on 2.0 btw....

based on experience highway with Rm80-90 should give you around 500-600km but in city you mostly get around 400-500km.

Mine also 2.0. i'm thinking also it is due to previous low mileage. Will monitor and see after a few refuels. If it is due to previous low mileage, i will get back low 400km for each refuel. Hopeful it is due to other reason and I will now get high 400km for city drive.

Mine 1.6sx..odo around 1800km++..Fueled my tank slightly below 'E' cost me around RM90.30.
After fueling that time DTE said 534km with previous 54km DTE.
Yesterday went to my grandma village at Temerloh using KARAK highway then went back to Klang with 4 people inside my car. All the way I used paddle shift and till now, my Trip shows 638km with 62DTE (fuel meter nearly to 'E'). brows.gif
Is it OK if always fueling below E??
