I just done my 1k service and change to K&N air filter recently but I encounter I small thing

There is lots of white smoke coming out from my exhaust pipe. I mean quite a lot where from behind I can see all the smoke when some light are pointing from behind but these smoke gone after some driving. Is this normal? Anyone here encounter same problem like this, hope can enlight me.

Thanks

If during morning/cold start....that is absolutely normal...those are call 'cold' smoke....for engine/exhaust system which is healthy will have this....after engine warmed up it will dissapear...

chrome..if easy scratch no good sad.gif

anyway, last saturday i drive quite a lot kl>muar>kl>puchong>setapak

total 429km, pumping full again cost me rm62, are the correct calculation about 0.14/km? hmm.gif
*
RM62 / RM1.90 = 32.6 Liter (your tank is 52 Liter = if fully empty tht should be near to Rm100)

429km / 32.6 Liter = 0.13 Liter/KM

Here's my finding. Nearly 400KM....pump Rm80 till full. about 150km used to KLCC/LCCT/KL....rest is city drive....Max speed 110km/h (average 60-80km/h)...so far FC is 0.085/KM rclxms.gif icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

Seriously its all about how you control the throttle whistling.gif

Got term 'cold smoke' mehh? I called it water vapour  tongue.gif

It is normal to see this water vapour (white smoke) especially in cold weather (morning usually)..u also might see water droplet in the exhaust tip due to condensation process. Complete combustion produced water. So if u see this water vapour in the morning, it means that your engine is combusting well wink.gif

Thats layman term for those doesnt know what is vapour tongue.gif

Another 80km to first 1k km biggrin.gif, did a comprehensive test from Kl > Pg. 4 adults include myself.

Best Fc getting so far is 6.1l/100km at average 100-110km/h. Others is around 6.5-7.8l/100km

Guess now can only do service at 1.5 or 1.8k km ;-)

impossible 100 per car. i heard is around 2000 per car. free insurance and road tax is from the company not the sa so wont affect their earning margin.
*
Not really...its depend on monthly incentive set by Naza to dealer...last month 4k discount exclude insurance rebate....1.6sx margin is a lot higher than 2.0....

i got mine last month...only 1k discount due to the year end 60k free service

sien....mine 2.0

anyway any bro do coating for their car? thinking which brand to choose

most of it said sierra glow....

any idea?

i got mine white....easily dirty....and those rm10 ppl wash until scratch d
*
My advice is subscribe to those car wash center that give u annual wash, Polish n wax package membership. Coating will not make your paintwork invincible n swirl free...water mark still will stick...moreover u need extra careful with ur maintenance. ..need to wash with special shampoo...else those Rm few Buck car wash will damage ur coating...

Hi guys,

I'm expecting a new Clear White Forte soon. All loan & payment issues done, just waiting for registration and tint job. SA said probably end of next week.

I've been reading in & out about car coating. I guess it would be wise for me to coat my car since it's white in color.

This will be my first car. I'm a little noob on this side of the world. I just know what coating does but I don't know a lot of things related to coating.

I've asked around, and I found that an average coating job costs around RM 2k++. I don't know what brand or what type of coating though.

And then I stumbled upon the Sierra Glow thread. If I read it right, the job costs around Rm 700, yes? If this is true, then I'll probably opt for this one. But I still want to know more about coating.

Could someone explain to me the basic knowledge one should know about coating? Things like coating types, pricing, brands, maintenance etc.

And please also tell me more about SG. Any reason it is much cheaper than what people have told me on other brands?

Thanks!
*
Waste of $ do coating if its daily drive car, water will still create dirt film on the surface...maintenance not cheap either usually will ask u go.back to them fir washing or Top-Up coating....

K3 not nice...better buy forte
*
There is already a K3 in Malaysia....JUST ONE unit in WHOLE malaysia but i missed the chance to see the prototype (they store it back into the warehouse)....its currently 'camouflage' and its LEFT hand drive....

KIA/NAZA want the case to test drive around Malaysia for 10-20K KM...then they will replicate the unit and convert it to RIGHT hand drive.......

Was told cabin size is smaller then Forte and its DOESN"T look like K5 at all.....engine for now is 1.6 only....

There will be also K5 Hybrid (LEFT hand drive model) already in Malaysia for test < this one more units.....
