So nlik manage to get LR4 & CS6? I was at Zaloon waiting to pass files! I miss the whole event cause no space for me!  sweat.gif

Thanks Evan for the CS6 tutorials rclxms.gif , I was the guy in Yellow T. But .. paiseh blush.gif ..haven't got time to take a look at it. Will check them out probably in the train, while going to work. The tutorial topics looks useful and should be applicable to GIMP too.

I've got a few Gigs of photography e-magazines some from 2 years back, which will surely help inspire the readers. Will try to bring it along for any future TT session to share as well.

When I can't take Nex out, I rely on the mobile phone Exmor .. icon_rolleyes.gif . You'd be surprised how many free and easy to use photo apps are available. I'd maybe call it 'social photography' nowdays. Probably some will transfer camera pics to their phones and edit them on the phone before uploading to websites. This probably leads to convergence, as what the Samsung Galaxy camera demonstrates.

I have a question here.

Actually i aimed to purchase Sony Nex 5R as my first camera. it just suit my need, but i heard the picture capture by 5R will have big distortion problem is that true? how was picture quality of 5R if printed out ?

Also i have research there are few drawback of this camera about the 16-50mm kit lens problem. I need some opinion... So do the problem wont affect much of the picture quality ?
*
Yes, if you shoot RAW, then you will face distortions problem with the selp1650. Yet, there are are now lens profiles for this particular lens to fix these RAW distortions in post processing.

However, jpg distortions are corrected by the camera itself and is a non issue.

There is another issue with focusing at certain apertures, which I haven't heard about the conclusion yet.

How about the picture quality if printed out? will it look exactly same as the picture we had seen on the net?\
*
Yes it should look pretty much like what you see on the screen. I printed before last year, and found the colors printed on 4R photo paper to be more saturated and darker, but it probably is just this shop's particular characteristic. This surely varies from one shop to another.

Based on wiki Photo_print_sizes , a 4R print only requires 1200 × 1800 px at 300ppi . Nex 6 with 16 megapixels already pump out 4912 x 3264 , so it images would be downsized to suit the print size and it should look finer and of course smaller. how big you plan on printing actually??

Hi, I'm trying to search for a video tutorial on how to clean a camera sensor. I would like to place this on the first page , since most users moving from P&S to Nex tend to freak out when finding dust on their sensors.

Have seen a few and so far I can't finalize the one that works best for NEX users. Some show how to lock up the DSLR mirror and blow, others use swabs. Some blow with the sensor facing up, but I think it's better to face the sensor downwards and blow upwards. etc.. etc..

If you have found any, let me know. Thanks.

Too bad i won't be having NEX along.. because i'll be riding at 6.15am. lust.gif

Hmm.. how many here would like to have a cycling photo session?? I think it's possible to arrange a session with some real cyclists in the community.

Take a break from the usual model, flowers, bugs and landscape. I'm not sure what kind of artsy pics there can be, but I think it's an under explored subject in photography. Heck, maybe can mount some LED's on the wheels for light painting.

Ya. i would like to know about that too. And, also Nex F3.

Previously, i am using sony cybershot T99. Thinking to get a decent one but not so compact since my T99 was spoiled. Which among the above can capture better image during the night?
*
I found a very simplified comparison sony Alpha-Camera-Compare/en nexCameras.

Lens firmware ver 2.0 is available now at > http://www.sony-asia.com/support/productca...+e+mount+camera
Please search and look under 'Downloads'. As always, follow the exact instructions on the Sony site, because errors when flashing firmware could mean a bricked/dead device

Need ask a favor for nex 6 users/seller here :

do u guys have this back focus issue when ur nex 6 combo with sel1650 as reported by some?

as an example this.  *google for more reported threads.

I will sure buy a nex 6 as it fits me most. just wanna know whether the batch that came to us is affected or not. or maybe not all?
p/s: any seller who can confirm me their part is not having this issue can pm me for deal this weekend. (of course, comes with a good price). - NEW sets only.

thanks.
*
Yes. I reported here earlier about this issue as well. Still having the same problem despite flashing firmware to 1.01 a few days ago.
