I am thinking of getting my self an NEX-5RY, the one with the telephoto lens. I am also thinking of getting the macro lens that's on promotion together with the camera. So far the best price I am being offered for the bundle is RM 3,850 in Penang.

All the additional items are original Sony with exception of the charger. Is there anywhere else that I can get it cheaper?

I prefer NEX-5R to NEX-6 as it's smaller, fits my tiny hands better and it suits my needs. I am a newbie by the way, upgrading from my current Fujifilm FinePixs S5700 Semi-Pro.

You get it with rm3099 is consider very good price already..

overall the whole package you get now is consider worth ...
try ask filter for both of you lens, see total how much ..

hellooo all, just got my nex-5RL .. i am a convert from M43 Panasonic GF1.

I am so far very impressed with it -- i would say a much much better camera for NOOB like me who just wanted to point and shoot a fast moving kid.

The focus and speed are just amazing -- and of course dslr quality pic. Very happy with the camera. I did not get a good deal .. bought from sony centre at 2450 with 8gb and case. Did not realize that i could get a tripod throw in .. total warranty is 2 years + 3 months. Good ..

Talk about the free tripod that come together with my cleaning kits... i spoiled it yesterday

with this 3 lenses is almost enough for most occasion! i still short the SEL55210, plan to get it when I have enough budget for NEX-6Y set!

For battery charger, i think better get the original one. 3rd party batt is ok but the charger better be ori!

Just wondering if I purchased the sony 1+2 extended warranty, am I still eligible to get the extra 3 months warranty from the My Sony Online registration?

cause a sony salesman told me that the extra 3 months warranty is only valid for those who didn't purchase a extended warranty, just like to confirm this with anyone who bought the extended warranty before.

im currently using NEX 5, planning to upgrade something with built-in viewfinder and currently stuck with NEX 6 or NEX 7. which one should i get?

hmmm... no issues for me. Did u install the direct upload and the remote application in ur camera as well?

get the nex6 and balance spent on others.

no..the warranty end after 3yrs from the date of purchased... i bought the extended warranty for sony alpha after register online, then the extra 3 months also no more

Ya, I installed those. The phone can see the camera in the wifi list, but it gets stuck when connecting.

What phone and OS are you using?

any good, decent price fish eye lens u guys wld suggest?

guys, i got an issue with my NEX 6.. see the white artifacts? its popping up whenever i select manual focus.. its only on the display. pictures come out fine. just the viewfinder and the live view screen.. ):

any ideas?

Switch off the peaking level

not working for me also on android 4.1.1 but working on my iphone 4s.

peaking mode is a useful feature for manual focus. the "artifact" is the place in focus. you can change diff colour aswell. Dont turn it off
