Some question, so my new tag does hack.

When I want to adjust the time, the second hand stops. How do I adjust so that when the second hand at 60, the minute hand stays right on the minute marker.

Because right now it isn't, I tried pulled out the crown when the second reach 60, set the minute right on the marker. The minute marker only starts moving after the second hand did a full turn.

If I pulled out my second hand at 60, push back the crown with my minute hand at 10minute, the minute hand only start moving after the second did a one full round. It takes 2 minute to move to "11minute"

I'm a noob in watch. I don't own any watch for work/casual. Plan to get 1 with the budget under RM2.5k (or max RM3k) non leather type.

I prefer to get 1 that can last cause I doubt I will buy more than 1 watch in the near future. Watch is primary for my work (formal attire) and secondary casual attire.

How did you adjust the minute hand? It should always be moved (adjusted) clockwise else there will be some slippage of the gearwheel that will take time to recover. It's normal for an ETA 2894-2 aka Calibre 17 movement.

Adjusted clockwise?

I tried clockwise to the marker, and also rollback. Doesn't get it right either.

Looking after your watch
How to wind up your watch

The energy generated by winding the crown is transmitted to the barrel-spring and stored in the barrel, before being distributed throughout the movement to drive the hands and other functions.

We recommend winding your watch every day at approximately the same time, in order to supply it with the energy required for its movement to run efficiently over the following 24 hours.
If your watch is not worn regularly, it is advisable to wind it daily so as to keep it running permanently and thus avoid the need for over-frequent adjustments.

Recommend by the manufacturer... manual winding watch is so much work?

Makes me things are these seiko 5 replica too.

And I'm also thinking there might be a good market for replica. Since I don't have $ to start a real watch shop let's sell replicas hahha or homage.

That's what I thought about wearing watches too, I think it's more of a self satisfaction than 'making you look good' or showing off purpose. So I look at my watch a lot when wearing them when I am really bored or stuck in traffic. biggrin.gif

After going through some reading, at least now I understand what is quartz, auto, kinetic and mechanical. What is swiss.

Mechanical sounds interesting, what is a good entry model that is good? Mind to point me to some directions...

Unless you regularly wear a watch, you might find that you tend to knock and bang the watch often.
Get an affordable one first to get used to wearing one before moving towards more expensive watches.

If you want to jump straight ahead, how about a Rado Original? The tungsten carbide bezel and sapphire glass should be tough enough for your first Swiss watch.

I hope. sweat.gif
