why oh why no sd card. its perfect except sd card.

so people buying this phone must be equipt with data plan and cloud storage to compensate the sd card. cloud storage is still not my cup of tea coz of lousy signal some areas, and the stuipd 3g quota per month. and also the bloody expensive cloud storage of 9.99usd per 100gb per month.

the world is not ready for cloud storage. so please oh please give us the sd card.

I expect the price of the Nexus 4 to follow UK prices, thats mean around RM1,400 for the 16GB version. It all depends on the Play Store contents availability in that country. If the country can get full content like in the US, expect the price of the phone to be the same, plus some tax by the country .

If you watch the interview video by The Verge about why LG was chosen as the manufacturer of the phone, it is because its meet the criteria set by Google. There are many manufacturer actually that present to Google their
Nexus prototype. And the 8MP camera module is from Sony.

I don't think Google will include sd card slot in their Nexus phone. The reason? Google it yourself. There are many discussion about this thing.

Maybe after six months, they will introduce 32 GB and 64 GB as the phone storage. This is what happens on the Nexus 7. nod.gif

Would classify it as cheap, more like bang-for-buck phone. After all, Google said they are selling at near cost-price. The price is good, specs looks very appealing too.

The main reason why the price differs so much is because of the SIRIM certification. RM200 per device as base AND 10% of the device cost.

sure we won't get same price as US, but why we must accept it? we still have a lot of choices.

Nexus 4 vs. Galaxy S3

Nexus 4 vs. iPhone 5

http://www.gizmag.com/iphone-5-vs-nexus-4/24782/

A 50~50 fight........

but Google Nexus 4 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Price

The Nexus 4 may be released late, but you won't need long to save. Coming in at a bargain basement £239 (US$299) for the 8GB model, and £279(US$349) for the 16GB, Google is really pricing aggressively. The Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB equivalent is available for around £490 (AU$899, US$199 with contract), and the iPhone 16GB for £529 (AU$799, US$199 with two-year contract).

so i expected a Supercheap superphone.

Exactly. Poor signal is a problem, and not to mention you can't use data in flight rclxub.gif

I can live without the removable battery, but 16gb is cutting it low

just pay that and amount and possible postage and they will ship it.
tax inc ardy if not mistaken.
notworthy.gif now i might linger in 2 threads rolleyes.gif
not sure u heard this be4 but phones actually cost at a fraction of what we pay..
take ip4/s/5 pay 2k? maybe 300>500 is the actual manufacturing price.
economics efficiency and mass production will lower costs
glass treated with corning should be dirt cheap too
esp when they can make large 20mx20m and slice them up into small screens
components are a childs play. assembly is the main cost (labor cost)

correct me if im wrong, read an article for my research last time.

Digi bought s3 from samsung at 300s , but of course in like 300,000-400,000 units tongue.gif

It doesn't make sense if the phone is expensive here, the idea it is being set at low price and without LTE is to make ppl that is in country that doesn't have proper LTE coverage to get a rush on this due to its low price. It should not be more than 1500.

True Story.

Nexus 7 damn power. Like a car with big n power full engine, but small petrol tank.

Cn play all game loft game smoothly. But to install more games need delete videos n mp3.

To hear music n see movie need delete games.
Haiz...

Cnt imagine how those 8gb version survive.
Those who thinking buy nexus 4 8gb version.
DONT DO IT!

Barely enough storage for photo snapping n video recording also.
