Anyone wants to be the guinea pig?

I was tempted but had JUST purchased the v5 two days ago. Instead, I opted to return it to SriComp (paid 200) for the 54GSv4 (paid 250).

Prolly give it a while (days?) then check my firmware options. Mostly wanted to post that Linux enabled devices were still avail @ lowyat. Since products at SriComp are exchange ONLY I couldnt hunt for better prices.

i heard that v5-v6 have les memory than older versions. Correct me if i am wrong...but how much less?

tumpang thread.. my WRT54G v3 the power led keep blinking... i cant access to the router.. what's wrong with it? my warranty period expired oledi.. where can i send it for fix?

Did you ever try to flash to DD-WRT ?....I am assuming its a Yes , if you enabled boot_wait then you're in luck.......Otherwise its a no.....

is this refer to my question above?

Oh yeah I got this problem with WRT54G v2.2 + DD-WRT v23 SP1 final where I got occasional timeout when surfing. Any ideas?

edit: you guys have any l7 protocol patterns to share?

hello, a good news for Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS Fans, start with next week WRT54GL will arrive at plaza lowyat

Woww... its been to long for me to been out from LYN world... anyway.. whut is the best QoS uplink and downlink for 1mb so far???

what is the difference for WRT54GL/GS/G? what is the GL price?

Just test with v5 router.
using 6280kB out of 8192kB
loading quite nice...

tat take me 1 hours to find the correct firmware with pppoe support.

Mind to tell which firmware that you flashed?

DD-WRT .. now DD-WRT can be supported by V5 WRT54G ...

I havent try to flash , but those who flash , any problem u facing ?

mine power LED keep blinking and now work as a normal hub.. but since my router warranty period already over, so i try to google it and look for solution.. and found this guide

after trying the tip 2, it does not work..
so then go for tip 3, surprisingly it can ping the router and i quickly flashed the router with firmware... after it done, i power off and on the router, it turns back to a faulty router which is act as just a normal hub.. sob sob..

Why did you power off the router , it should be there..It should at least restart by itself..If you kill it after its flashed it would be the same...Try to flash it and leave it there , it would take several seconds to get 'steady' green light
