I stayed on stock because I don't want the same hassle when 4.2 arrive.

Can't believe have to go through that shitty process again.

Heck I'm still on stock rom! Just wit a molded maps app. Even if I totally remove the maps app also it reject me from update. Sweat La

The crap talk about nexus getting easy updates. Even on stock rom also like that.

Worst is my laptop is not here, can't use toolkit to restore. Angry.

Well, if you're back on stock and really want to update, you can try the old fashioned method of setting your last recorded update back to 1969.

I think it's like this;

Settings -> Apps -> All
Google Services Framework => Force Stop + Clear Data
Back
Settings -> About Phone/Tablet -> System updates -> Check Now

No guarantee it'll actually find the OTA update so soon, since it just got released today. I don't even think it's officially on OTA channels for the Nexus 7 yet. Only Takju GalNex so far. You might need to repeat the above process a few times, though.

I'd still rather wait a few days first, just to be safe on application compatibility with 4.2

Nexus getting easy fast updates. Nexus users are meant to be enthusiasts not entry/beginner level (more appropriate I think ). Don't use it if you ain't one *no hard feeling ya*

Newegg bringing them in already I mean shipping them in from US, 32GB for 820. More than one 32GB in here now. Check it out.

But newegg us priced 16GB at 249 also

Got on 4.2 in less than 15 minutes including downloading haha

Flashed via my favourite twrp recovery without breaking a sweat. Root kept via ota root keeper.

The lock screen widget and pulldown shortcuts is cool but I think it should be improved. Currently requires at least 2 click to turn on or off WiFi , it should be real toggles rather than dumb shortcut to the respective settings. They should apply a single tap as toggle and tap hold as shortcut instead.

Apart from that, nova launcher dock doesn't work unless set it as overlay. Looks like something in the framework changed.

Still hunting to see what else broker haha

Going to put an order with newegg however there's a thing that bothering me, the screen size..

By giving the budget and price with that low, it's tempting to me as my budget just around that

its enough and very efficient using a 7-inch bro. i have a 10-inch transformer, its great but its not portable enough. i played with my friends galaxy tab 7-inch. it feels just right. i went to asus store and played with nexus 7, oh god its perfect! that time i know 32gb was coming so i didnt buy it yet.

i tried using Note, its still not enough especially if you are mobile most of the time and do business on it. bigger is better, but need portability too.

speaking of that... hmm i need a 3G version. hahaha~~
