PHA-2A portable DAC & Amp, just look at the name and you know it will replace PHA-2 Comes with single-ended phone out and 4.4mm balance phone out. OMG another new balance jack... 5. MDR-Z1R! Sony new flagship headphone. It's closed back with detachable cable (dual 3.5mm mono). 70mm magnesium dome driver, aluminum-coated diaphragm, neodymium magnets. ETA around October. 6. NM-1Z DAP. Erm...it won't replace any model because it is the most expensive one! The body of 1Z made by gold plated OFC. Sony claims that the copper is 0.06% purer than AK380 copper. So, can we expect it will sound 0.06% nicer than AK380 copper? No worry, it won't be more expensive than AK380 copper, around RM10k only! ETA around November. If you actually look at the specs, seems like the driver is an evolution of the Z7 driver, lots of similarities. Z7 specs Z1R specs If I had to guess, I'd say they built on the (generally less than positive) feedback they received and worked to improve for the Z1R. Should be worth a listen.
