never feel lack of bass. the thing will give a proper beat even in low volume
first impression, put on the mdr-1r and omg its as soft as b00bs it covers my ear completely with soft touch to face. not tight clamp, it wobble a bit when i shake head. as my ears shape are not in same size (one side bigger another smaller) it dont give me an irritating feel to re-adjust after long hour. characteristic of closed headphone... outside noise is further reduce. quality wise, full plastic, soft strength headband length adjust, no squeak noise when turning ear cup. the weight is approx 300g but headband has great overall support. good job sony plug in da 3.5mm single sided cable into left headphone socket, tight fit. it has grooves along the length for tangle free, just like water hose in garden. since the cable is replaceable, i might test with DIY canare star-quad that collecting dust from years ago. ok, playback time. pick "the carpenters" from my walkman player, 0% volume. it starts to give full range sound from 12% , quite good efficiency. going up to 20-30% is my normal listening in quiet room. full blast makes the plastic cup vibrates a little, no doubt giving rich dynamics from medium size driver. a lot focus on midbass, vocal ok, no fatigue treble i feel note response /tempo move slower when compared to sony 13.5mm EX iem that i been using for few years. perhaps diaphragm stiffness? i can capture sensational details easily. as a conclusion, im enjoice & happy with this purchase. i have swap the original cable to canare star quad with neutrik nickel plated standard plug.
although a locking click can be heard when u push in, some how i feel this plug does not fit completely. furhter comparison from the physical outlook, it is obvious that sony plug extrude more. will shop for suitable plug later on.. total usage is approximately 50 hours, i can hear the note response has catch up from beginning impression. main characteristics have not change. QUOTE(singung @ May 20 2013, 02:42 PM) i own zx100, sound is small and ok for normal listening only. i believe zx300 is using similar 30mm driver, expect stronger magnet for more dynamic (stable when play loud). outside isolation is quite ok for on-ear type of headphone. if u dont mind isolation issue, get the MA100 for the bigger 40mm driver and "open air" exposed driver. |

QUOTE(dannygeni @ Dec 20 2013, 08:01 PM) 10R is more like compact version of 1R. think sennheiser momentum vs momentum on-ear QUOTE(sai86 @ Dec 20 2013, 08:38 PM) best to try it yourself. i went to mdr1rmk2 as i found the comfort and size of 10r is not as good as 1rmk2 and the ear-cup is small abit. no regret getting 1rmk2. now i need to save and get the fio x3 or smth similiar. yup. been using 1R for a year, ear pad still soft and comfort for long hour listening. welcome to 1R club QUOTE(dannygeni @ Dec 29 2013, 02:22 PM) silver is cool! welcome to 1R club |

QUOTE(un_id @ Jan 6 2014, 08:45 AM) i just did Fiio X3>Govibe Vestamp>XBA-3 (before this i just use the X3 straight out of X3) band alive wow! never heard anything like that before. lol.. inspite of the major complaint about XBA3 is the metal sounding of the highs, but somehow it turn to sound somehthing quite extraordinary.. when the drummer hit the crash cymbal using the tip of the drumstick, it goes "ting ting ting" like i would really hear if i'm sitting in front of a real drummer in life. the highs sparkles (although sounds a bit like uncommon drum set) in great details.. QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Jan 9 2014, 01:39 AM) im targeting this one 2014QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Jan 9 2014, 02:41 AM) Sony want introduce Hi-Fi to mass market rename as Hi-Res Their product even better tech feature then Marantz and Denon but sound how? ClieOS DSD remastering is that true can upscaling audio quality? Creative also has done this before on the zen-xfi |
