Yes please. We want to know more because lotsa members here also might be facing the same problem or probably considering joining this type of scam....If you read earlier thread there are few too such as priority & etc..

yes you should! is not the matter of the money but the rights as a consumer!

as you mentioned, booking money to genting.. maybe that doesnt sound much but that is not the case!

what you do might help others who are facing the same prob!

but during that time, i was almost to buy the vouchers too from the same company you mentioned at the travel fair held in midvalley.. thinking of i dont have much cash, i didnt.

didnt know it was such a hassle...

Hi... This case still havent solved. I report to consumer office, and send the sue letter to them. They also no feeling. Soooo muka tebal. This Friday is attending court date. I hope Consumer Court will fight back my right.

Coming MATTA Fair, Best Holiday got Booth there. Everybody please be careful. The company full name is WWW Best Holiday Sdn Bhd.

Another 2 week, still no news, no call from travel agent. I was so angry and disappointed. I call to travel agent, look for Ice, her colleague said she is engaged on the other line; 2nd call, she went out for lunch, that time is already 2pm, fine; 3rd call, she went to wash room. So many incidents, i start to suspect she trying to avoid my call. I tell the whole story to her call, and ask her to pass the message to request either Ice or Albert, from Account Department, to tell me what the status is and explain why my refund is drag for more than 5 weeks.  I am waiting until 6pm, nobody call me. I wrote a letter and request for follow up on 14th-Jan-2010. Again no reply, just like nothing happens before.

By 16th-Jan-2010, i really cannot stand. I called again to Travel Agent and spoken to Ice. She said she is not sure; she passes me to Account Department, Albert. The Albert said the cheque is ready, but director is not in, nobody sign the cheque. I was very angry and ask, how long the director not in already? How can it be more than 1 month he is not in the office? What the non-sense reason. Then he keep on explain, then i said OK, i give you another 1 week. I expect my refund of RM3500 will be ready by next week, if not, at least some one call me and update me what is the status. Albert agreed to do so.

One week passed, no call no news no update, again, I feel like being cheated. 25th-Jan-2010, I called Ice, again, she is engaged on the other line. Request to return call, no return call. Look for Albert, Albert meeting.

26th-Jan-2010 9.30am, I called to look for Ice. She said will follow up with her account department, who is Albert. Promised will return call to me. 1 hour passed, 2 hour passed...Still not call. Really beh tahan, call her again at 12noon. Then she said Albert interview la, go to bank la, very busy la... (WTF~!! I am also very busy, wasting my time to keep on calling u. Of course, this is just appearing in my mind).
Finally, 5pm of 26th-Jan-2010, Mr. Albert called me. Again, he gave me the same excuse, which is Director not in, nobody sign the cheque. Walau, how can a director didn’t go to company for more than a month? This is really a funniest kidding i heard before.  Some more, if director no around, mean these is no salary for the staff, will it be explainable?

Anyway, he still can’t promise when the date I can get back my refund.  So upset with the way they doing thing.

Really feel like being cheat, next week if still no reply, I think I will go for Consumer Court to log the case. It is really unfair to hold my money like this.

i had bad experience with Best Holiday too...last year end of Nov for Zhang Jie Jie holiday....i lazy to tell the whole story...
Banned this travel agency!!!!

End up, the President (Which is some one lie Judge) said Ok, since they agreed to refund, we can closed case; then you (Travel Agent) must within 14 days.

Then I said: Can i request refund immerdiately or in cash?

President Said: The Act said is 14 days.

I said: What if they didnt refund?

President: If they didnt refer within 14 days, this is a criminal case. As long as they refund within 14 days. Court doesnt restrict must be in cash or cheque.

I am speechless... I just feel like, if they are sincerely wanna refund, they should bring the cheque today or settle before the court date. I am very worry the company bankrupty within this 14 days. Really upset with the President's judgement.

That company already facing cash flow problem-lah. Even the court allow immediate also I dun think they can comeout wth the money if really huge. So 14 days is good for them to find ways to pay you. Otherwise they will run away as happening to another reputable tour agency during 2007 or 2008 matta fair...

That's is why I hate going thru any Tour agency evene those famous such as Reliance & etc

When we cancel the tour, we will be penalised by the tour operator. When tour operator cancel the tour how come they don't compensate their clients? Somemore refund without interest.

The Ministry of Toursim should do something to protect the public such as at least to compensate equivalent penalty for flight/tour cancellation by the customers. Not just refund.

I am not malaysian but Working in a big firms in Malaysia for over 4 years .
2 weeks ago ( 28 of Feb 2010 ) I went to Bandar Hussein Jusco ( Cheras ) to buy something for my wife after while I Noticed there is a tour and travel agency named" pantium discovery" which promotion amazing club card vacation in the main hall of jusco .

I just asked and person named liza( malay girl ) attended to me and explained . It was 3-4 club card package as " pantium discovery club card" .

1- RM1200 . Free 5 night 6 days include airasia ( low season ) anywhere in malaysia 2-3 star hotel or resoty ( they will arrange it for me )
then I could get %50 off any hotel in Malaysia .
%30 off any flight to anywhere all around the world and plenty of benefit ...

2- RM 499 . 3 NIGHT 4 DAYS With everything ...
3- ...

Actually I bought rm1200 because my sister was coming and I wanted go to perhantiang .

The story began from this:

Exactly the day after I purchased the " pantium discovery card " I called the company . A girl answer and they said we do not have this type of package and transfer me to the management named" Marica " . . Management said who told you we can give this package with airsia ... I answed Lisa which is your sales team .

He invited me to go to the office .,Once I see the guy and the guy notice I am Manager from big firm asked can you offer me a job ... smile.gif I noticed they are really losuy company which one of the manager asking like that ...

any way all promised me to settle everything by friday last week .

Friday I called but nobody knows about my case and they started to passing me around ... one guy sending my case to the girl ... girl sending me to manager ... manager do not answer the phone .... you know what I mean ...

I callled everyday more than 8-10 times and even I asked my staff to call them ( my staff in from malaysia ) .

You know what? They are answering the phone ... They are saying we will arrange for you ... but after while they will say we lost your paper can u tell us again where do you wanna go .You belive or not after 2 weeks calling again last day asked to give her my trip detail ...

The funny thing is they will answer the phone but nobody take care if the case .... I found a friend of mine who was cheated by them .

I do not know I can do anything against them via police malaysia or not but Just wanted you never pay to this type of company .
I have to make complain agaist jusco as well becouse they let this company to come inside and promote their fake package .

wat u need to do is -

1 - lodge a police report against the company and deem it as scam
2 - bring the report over to the consumer tribunal and have them look into it a.s.a.p.

these double actions will yield fast results. u'd be able to see your money in no time.

consumer tribunal is located at The Mall KL. opposite Putra World Trade Center.
its job is to take care of ALL consumers regardless of nationality.

Those salesmen approached me about 2 weeks ago when I was walking in Giant Kelana Jaya. I'm the type who like to listen to what people say first before I reject something. The promotion sounds very promising. Just pay a few hundreds to get many discounts on hotels. I said to them that I would think about it first because it sounded too good to be true. Well, my instinct were right perhaps.. "Too good to be true". smile.gif
