Bought him about 12" long @rm140. All i do was stuffing him with foods (mostly feeder fishes) and maintain water quality. Also, by that time my aquarium was laden with hiding spots & plastic plants.

Yeah i thought so. But he went better, maybe bcuz the previous environment was worse. But i think better get a darker substrates or base. I'd stick with tile base for now, as it is easier to control water. But providing them with hiding spots is a good thing. They'll love it.

Bare bottom wil make the bichir stress or nt? @@

Kakarocht, Try to maintain low water. I did that. And only making sure the filter pump is submerged. And top, i put lotsa floating plants. So birchirs wont jump since they know they can hide.

QUOTE(awansakti @ Jan 6 2013, 08:40 PM) We should have a lake like in thailand where they actually purposely keep all those foreign fishes till effing huge.for fishing sport.people come from all over the world to fish those giant rtc gars etc etc.also, can release all you guys' huge tiger goliath there later lol You referring to IT Monster Lake in Ratchaburi? I think the lake itself is many acres in size. But what's interesting is the attitude that the Thai people have towards fish. Watch National Geographic Monster Fish Thai Eden episode. It's cool that fishes facing extinction elsewhere can thrive in Thailand. Anyway, here's a video although a terrible one LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE2Z1-dZD_c
