Did some testing with my gaga. Refer the graph below. Idling at N does have low fuel flow than at D. i dont know what can explain this.

This is interesting. Let's say the average fuel flow is 30cc a minute. So 10 mins idling would consume 300cc = 300 ml. Idling for one hour = 1.8L consumed sweat.gif

I don't think fuel rate = fuel consumed.

hmm.gif Okay unsure.gif

But the fuel that's measured has to go somewhere, right? Unless there's a excess fuel return line to the petrol tank hmm.gif

I'm not sure whether Saga has fuel return line but definitely flow rate doesn't mean all is consumed. When I cut off petrol injectors on my Persona, the fuel rate remains regulated.

Booked FLX SE Fire red. I was wondering that there's a say that new car better keep the speed around 80KM/h whenever you are driving? is it true. Or it's just a myth. tongue.gif

Last week, we're whole family in my GaGa BLM. As we reached Jln Kuala Kangsar showroom, the SA standing infront of the showroom start counting how many people step out of the vehicle. Therewas 6 of us getting out of the car, the SA was trololololed laugh.gif Why go Plotong showroom? Simply because the youngest in the family started to work, now thinking of buy a presentable daily use vehicle to go work, as well as hook up chicks icon_idea.gif So, their 1 and only consideration was DUGONG doh.gif In order to prove them there's other affordable & better featured as an option, I use my BLM to take whole family for 200km journey, was hoping to impress them. So happened I saw this showroom still have an FLX SE as testdrive car, so I decided to roll in to let the fire red FLX SE help me convince the "payer". Below was the restructured walkthrough of closing sales experience. Some are very useful, the rest rubbish. Read on your own discretion

Me: Nah! Here's the key.
Dad: idiot! Kenot put different color button meh? Like this how to know which 1 is trigger/which 1 is arm?
Me: [agreed/sweat mode]

SA: Unker, ini kleta mia signer kat kiri tau. Nanti pakei mia time jangan kasi sapu cermin ya, nanti kena luckseh(Ipoh style paiseh)
Dad: uih? Bahaya nie? Tak best la.
Me: [not agree, but dunnow what to say. Differet people different perception lar]

Me: how do you find the starter cranking sound? Sexy aike.
Dad: A good car is not justified by the noise created by the starter, its the smoothness and silentness even you start the car passenger also wouldn't notice it.
Me: [agreed mode]

Me: How's the gearbox? Amazing eh?
Dad: new car already rosak. Kenot change gear
Me: got! Change ady. Continuous variable. It smooth until u didn't notice it change gear. You say smooth is good geh?
Dad: ...gearbox is different. Too smooth I dunno what gear its in jor
Me: you buy an auto, why would you care what gear it is?
Dad: u must have the feeling of changing gear to know the gearbox function properly
Me: this is why people always say when no feeling of gear change means gearbox mati. U want to feel gear change ma, nah(went SAT)
Dad: ...... need to fix only got gear change... No good.

There will be 1001 reason for NOT buying a Plotong despite how hard I recommend it; however, if someone wanted a dugong, they can't find a reason for NOT buying a TOYOL doh.gif

Another anomaly with the fuel flow rate that I have not solved is, when engine braking downhill, the flow rate increases as if I'm accelerating doh.gif But that is not reflected in the km/l readout. This is for the FLX.

No offense to your family, if the person who pays wanna buy a dugong, then just let him buy a dugong lor. Else nanti here rosak there rosak they blame you for recommending rubbish car. If dugong rosak then it's god's will, coz it's god car, no one to blame but god.

You ask them, I first gear or L gear go 80km/h also can hor?

Speed is not the issue, RPM is. Make sure you run the engine through it's whole RPM range until it's rev cut RPM, but run it gently. Don't run on a constant RPM for too long.

You can go as fast as you want with this technique, but be sure to familiarize yourself with the handling, brakes and steering feel before you go FnF down PLUS highway. Start slow so that if there are any defects on the car and something happens, you have time and space to recover.

Means rev until your ECU won't let you rev any higher. For example, FLX rev cut in D and L is 5750 RPM, you can't rev any more than that unless you are going downhill very fast.

Your FL don't have 3-2-L meh? you can use them to rev higher.
