I don't think fuel rate = fuel consumed.

I'm not sure whether Saga has fuel return line but definitely flow rate doesn't mean all is consumed. When I cut off petrol injectors on my Persona, the fuel rate remains regulated.

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Oct 21 2012, 02:16 PM) ooo since sifu mat79 is here, would it be a good idea to chuck in a supercharger or turbocharger into a BLM in order to achieve better low end torque like how Preve CFE has a turbo? Bro, I know you can't get away from forced induction. Lai lai, let's continue our plan What are the pros and cons you foresee? Which would be the preferred choice, supercharger or turbocharger? I have the price range for supercharger and turbocharger. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Oct 21 2012, 02:26 PM |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Oct 21 2012, 04:25 PM) In short, supercharger is more expensive than turbocharger. Maybe it's uncommon. Let's talk about cheapest new setup, turbocharger needs RM6-7k, supercharger RM8k-9k. The price here for turbocharger includes the turbo, piping, one additional petrol injector, piggyback and full exhaust system. For supercharger, it's just the supercharger and piggyback.david, if you're not using carburetor, you can fiddle with these: ![]() This post has been edited by mengsuan: Oct 21 2012, 05:06 PM |

Cheaper to maintain and less complicated to install. However turbo is more common in Malaysia hence parts for turbo is cheaper. Turbo has more boost, more potential, higher efficiency. Turbo is actually a variant of centrifugal supercharger.
Supercharger has 3 main type: centrifugal, root and screw. The one sold by G Car Care is screw type. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Oct 23 2012, 09:38 PM |

QUOTE(eqmal197 @ Oct 24 2012, 01:20 PM) mahihi, if put turbo, shouldnt all parts in engine also need change? my opinion, need to change too because parts inside engine for NA. when put turbo, need to change to parts where it can thana the pressure. if turbo in NA engine, takut piston rod bengkok in long term Don't worry so much about turbo, it isn't so scary.Disadvantages of turbocharging â– Turbo lag, especially on large turbos. A large turbo may give more peak power, but can take more time to spool up. â– Driveability may be compromised, particularly when the boost threshold is approached and suddenly a surge of power is too much for the tyres to cope with, causing understeer/oversteer (depending on which wheels are driven). This reduces the useable power band of the engine, and leads to more wear and tear on the drivetrain. â– Turbochargers are costly to add to NA engines, and add complexity. Adding a turbo can often cause a cascade of other engine modifications to cope with the increased power, such as exhaust manifold, intercooler, gauges, plumbing, lubrication, and possibly even the block and pistons. TD04 size turbo, it starts boosting at 2k RPM, max at 5k RPM, good for improving daily driving. If want more high end power, of course get bigger turbo. You don't need internal replacement up to 0.5-0.6 bar, some even manage to use stock ECU for 0.30-0.6 bar boost. The only thing that disturbs them is the rev cut at 6k RPM. I was told that Preve CFE is doing 0.75 bar with forged piston. The forged piston is plug and play with Campro IAFM 1.6, at least for Persona. Saga Campro 1.3 uses high compression piston but may be able to fit (?). QUOTE(Mahihi @ Oct 24 2012, 01:35 PM) soft boost bro soft boost bro, turbo can be done in 1k,but is potong turbine and piping oni,if not because of the ecu,i have do it so....the 1st fact u pointed out is already well known,so let's skip it to the 2nd point, dats oni applicable for large turbo like it said, soft turbo??neh....soft turbo i meant was oni 0.1-0.2 bar lo.....the pressure is not high enuff to have blow off sound....hehehe Bro Mahihi, can you help me source turbo within 1k+? No need ECU management or piggyback.p/s:of course even the ecu didnt kacau,u still need to fine tune it and the 1k i meant was not included One Malay chap offered me his used setup for 2.5k. |

Tuning is no problem. My NGV tuner is also very enthusiastic about turbo/supercharger. He kept encouraging me to go try.Added on October 24, 2012, 2:28 pm wow, then it can be done, but then tuning it is another thing again, all $$ |

Buy turbine no problem, few hundred only, buy 2 for twin turbo also can. Exhaust manifold also can find/buy/custom. Need intake piping also. Intercooler also. Where to find/custom. LolQUOTE(iXora.ix @ Oct 24 2012, 02:43 PM) true also bro. CVT gearbox so taufu meh? It's like engine redline 6.5k, not as if touch 6501 RPM, the engine kaboom.cvt2 only tahan till 150nm.. sekali overboost.. tebabom.. lagi teruk... than if like this.. i make up jer lah. :'( |

My Persona RM9 can go Puchong-Ipoh 230KM, and still haven't finish yet. Could have went to eat chicken rice before the gas finishes.my tuner really cannot ah..some more so far i cannot asyik go back ask his favour.. My tuner is in Batu Caves, if want, then lets go. |
