Ayam in Malacca on the way back to Penang. Have been in JB for the past few days to attend funeral. My father wanted to bring the Elantera down. After driving it again I really miss my Gaga.

I miss driving like a real man laugh.gif

I miss the instant powar delivery when I floor the throttle
I miss the direct enjin to wheel coupling (no tork converter)
I miss the comfy and upright driving position (Elantera seats are low)
I miss the awesome steering feel (Elantera's steering is light like crazy, sucks on haiway)
I miss doing 18 Km/L (Elantera can do 7.3L/100 km on haiway, not bad for an old 1.8 though)
I miss driving LC2K style
I miss heel and toe downshifts
I miss my Gaga cry.gif

hi guys, 5k sevis, do you go on 5k or go around the date they asked you to go (on the small sticker they put)? sweat.gif
*
Whichever comes first.

Looks like the jammed drumbrakes were really bad. Had them fixed halfway through the last tank and now I got 7.7L/100 km sweat.gif

mat79, if you seen this; something to ask. lolz

Does the CVT TCU has learning ability too like the ECU? Coz lately I noticed my engine braking is getting lesser and lesser everytime I'm down a slope. Before this, I always plonk my foot down the throttle on downhill slopes. Today when decide to drive like uncle, the rpm only raise about 500rpm more to around 2,200rpm and I am gently cruising downhill at 80kmh without the feeling of something tearing my face off. laugh.gif

I thought you said engine braking already disappeared upon FS installation? unsure.gif

If she can't handle a car with a boot then she shouldn't even be driving doh.gif

Seriously, what's the difference? shakehead.gif

Did some testing with my gaga. Refer the graph below. Idling at N does have low fuel flow than at D. i dont know what can explain this.

[attachmentid=3111381]

Added on October 20, 2012, 5:28 pmThe highest peaks indicate shifting from N to D. Then the ff stabilises. When switch to N, there is sudden drop of the ff value.
*
This is interesting. Let's say the average fuel flow is 30cc a minute. So 10 mins idling would consume 300cc = 300 ml. Idling for one hour = 1.8L consumed sweat.gif

I don't think fuel rate = fuel consumed.
*
hmm.gif Okay unsure.gif

But the fuel that's measured has to go somewhere, right? Unless there's a excess fuel return line to the petrol tank hmm.gif
