Of course,Iphone 5 unless you like ugly UI and complex setting. In the end, phone is just for getting thing done. I do not see the point change this and change that, customize this and that. I'm a s2 user, going to ditch it for i5, coming back to Apple.
*
doh.gif you dont have to customize it if you dont want to...

It's just an added perk for android users that Apple users dont get.

But apple is going nowhere...

First the iP5 with bigger screen..

now iPad mini with 7" screen possibly...?

come on... where's the originality?

Erm, what apple does is just let the competitor invent new items, learn from their weakness and improve. That's why Apple don't come out with new features. This happened to Video Call, Voice command, 4G LTE, larger screen and now NFC. They'll just wait till Google test out NFC before they dare to launch anything on their own.

On topic, iphone 5 is much easier to use and much simple whereas note 2 has much more to play with.

To those who complained about smoothness, I think you should try removing all the widgets on S3, note 2 and just put icons on the main screen. But then, who would wanna use a S3 and note 2 without widgets? I can be more productive by just reading out my e-mail on my homescreen, whereby iphone users need to click on the icon, wait for it to launch, it's much more efficient on android IMO.

hi there,

actually there is a big dilemma here for everybody which is considering about this 2 phone....no doubt, s3. note 2 and i5 already considered the best smartphone at the moment...

i have been an iphone user since 3G, 3GS, 4 and currently 4S (basically i used all the iphone launch in malaysia)..but this time i was in big dilemma as well...i love iphone but is kinda let down this time as is only taller the screen but of course a slight improvement in performance as well...

samsung note 2 seems to be a beast among the phones...in my opinion...

iphone = user friendly, easier to carry (for guys),os update and because is APPLE
note 2 = big screen for better gaming and viewing, basically everything, 2gb ram for better performance, but is kinda big as well to put in a pocket...

sigh.........i need help as well although i know the difference ........

i'm still waiting for 50 reasons iphone 5 is better than s3/note2. its been 2 weeks since the first youtube video, and still belum ada reply lagi. some people say the apps factor brings so much weight that it is more than enough of a reason. that's good for some i guess. and for some, they don't really care about apps other than the mainstream ones (i.e. viber, skype, whatsapp, facebook, evernote and the likes)

While I'm not doubting that the iphone is a great mobile device, it's only real powerful tool is its image.

People buy it because it's an Apple.

I would prefer iPhone 5 since I'm always in love with iPhone. And I don't use the phone for gamin purpose. Too big screen was a disturbance for me. iPhone 5 suit me to the max !

the main concern about smart phone will fall back on the following

1) Battery lasting (if travelling overseas/ on the move always need to find plug point to charge. carrying external external battery pack will burden the weight of the person carrying(carry more things) & $$ (defeat the purpose). whereby normal phone can last at least 1 week per full charge (no worries of no battery). for smart phone need to wait few hours to charge full and only can last a day)

2) Big screen will enable better vision else if for small screen will worsen the person eye sight in no time indirectly as the person grow older due to poor eye sight and become blur

3) Price
4) Weight
5) Function/Purpose of the gadget
6) Security features of the gadget
7) Design
8) Does the gadget indirectly helps the person to earn $$ etc

can u be specific which mainstream app is not so great compared to iphone. with examples please. i don't see any difference.

i hope u don't mind me being honest.

nfc - very useful. not as a payment method, but for automation. example enter car, touch dock - gps on, car mode on, waze on, all in just one touch. exit car - touch dock - gps off, car mode off, waze off. no fiddling when entering and exiting car. 30 seconds saved for every drive. everyday i drive. so its hell of a help. this is just one example. i malas mau panjang lebar.

haptic feedback - i have no use u are right (for me at least)

removable battery - no much use, although i see it quite useful during emergency. but i guess i'm spitting hairs.

live wall paper - i'm a pratical guy. so no use. but just like how people prefer their phones got high quality casing and all, its the same concept. people just like something nice to see and fiddle.

widget - very important. i see news headlines without even unlocking my phone. i see youtube "what's new" without even pressing any button. i see my to do list without even pressing any icon.

Both phone is flagship phone for each OS, so in the end its a matter of personal preferences, no need to bash each other.

As for me being using iPhone since 3g until 4s, its time for me to try explore new stuff, thus I bought Note2 last week. Honestly I kinda bored with same user experience offered by iOS from version 3 to 5 (didn't use 6 yet but based on the keynote video and online review its more an evolution rather than total new one), hence my jump to Android. But that just me. Now in love with the ability to automatically switch user profile on phone using geolocation and time without have to jailbreak the phone by using Profile Scheduler app on android.

Who knows if Apple do the unthinkable on iOS7? Let see a year from now.

I don't think apple will change much on the iOS itself. Some people used to iOS just one click then go to your apps. Swipe left and right to get your app. Don't need to click on menu button to go in app menu. For me, i see android just like Symbian a lot of menu and setting. I do feel Windows Phone got more potential. As current what we need to do is User Experience. smile.gif Just my thought .. biggrin.gif
