Haha..That wawasan at LG ctr court of Mid Valley has been discussed since 2-3yrs ago here. They are the first & I think right now (Still) the only one publishing daily exchange rate on website:

http://www.wawasanmoneychanger.com.my/exchangeRates.asp

PPl visiting this thread will use them as a yardstick to compare wth others.

NO! Meaning if abht not well traded here, The best is to change to US$ 1st which is we;; traded and thereafter to baht once you reach Thailand

Yes hv to pay twice for commission but still worth the effort and sometime much better.. One of it in Taiwanses $. You get ~ RM50 per every RM1000 you swicth from RM to US$ & thereafter to NT$ bcos the money changer in Taipei probably regulated and thus the airport & the city banks offering the same rate.

If you can find good money changer in Thailand, Doing this way is better bcos NT$ & baht almost having similar rate.

Impossible bcos Bank Negara current rate is 39.32 (Market & lowest in M'sia but not for us) and wawasan, One of the best in M'sia) selling at 39.90. So the best you can get Today at Bkt Bintang is about 39.80 or 39.70

Compare. All within walking distance..It's just like the price war by Hypermarket..certain currenies, MC1 might be cheaper but certain currencies, MC2 better..so just compare-lah.. Wawasan mid Valley is the yardstick

Stimix you mean that it's impossible to get Bank Negara rates anywhere else?

Looks like I will have to change RM to THB in HY to get RM1 = THB10.

can we exchange malaysian ringgit to chinese yuan in china ?

I don't want to exchange too many yuan in malaysia or else there will be lots of 'stuck' unused currency.

Don't take risk. M'sian Ringgit is not well traded in lotsa countries. And if you can find, the rate there will be worst than what you will be getting here.

If you don't want to bring Yuan, you can change to US$ 1st. More wellknown & better rated currencies everywhere

Hi all, would like to ask...THEY ARE SELLING AT 10.15 for 100 THAI BAHT means I will be paying them RM10.15 for 100THB right?

But why there is 2 rate..9.98xx and the next one is [10.15]..what does that mean?

I saw this in http://www.bnm.gov.my/statistics/exchangerates.php

Thank you

One is buying & another selling lor.

Meaning they are buying Thai Bath for you for RM9.9XX for every 1ooBath and they are selling That Bath to you for every 100baht at RM10.15. ANyway, it is imposiblle to do that in bank Negara. The best is via bganks & money changers.
