arcane wizard seems like doesnt gain much from the changes.

Currently i'm using vyr+tal+wow, damage is good, but the toughness still bad especially when enter rift with lots of range attack. Seems like the changes boost up all for damage instead of toughness.. hard to go solo in t6 and GR.. >.<

my build is electrocute with AP regen + lightning meteor

energy twister is dps is too slow compare to meteor(i prefer fast damage hehe), with just wizard hat dunno what name(make electrocute can zap monster more than 1 time) and myken, AP regen is like using mana potion, plus, lightning meteor can bind monster^^

I tried yesterday, the if you time the twister properly it really grind through enemies and kill them brutally! Of course it's selooooooow....

Anyway previously I used Lighting arcane orb to zap enemy, fast casting and consume lesser AP. Regarding that wizard hat, it never dropped to me...

With the upcoming boost for LoH (since proc is not necessary to gain LoH in the new patch), stun-electro wizard benefits greatly especially when the ASPD is between 1.8 - 2.0.

Velvet Camaral Wizard Hat - Doubled the Electrocute No of Hits = GG for mobs. Pair it Fulminator sword or Shards of Hate sword, you will get massive Hnggg. Pair this with Dovu Energy Amulet, you're in for a treat (this is assuming you have Paralysis and Wywward Ring) There is a glove which boost your damage absorption for each enemies stunned, but that glove doesnt work for me. So i switched to Aughild Sets.

Energy Twister is great especially when you have the 2-Hand staff which makes the Energy Twister move in straight line. However, you need to gear up properly (cost reduction and 'max' aspd as much as you can) to make this build worthwhile.

Another build is wicked wind + frozen solid blizzard build. Frustrates your enemies easily.

current PTR news is they removed the initial cost of channelling, but testers have found that they have actually doubled the channeling cost per tick.. f***in lol.

have to channel long time to reach max potential dmg, then increase the cost so u cant channel long time.. these developers are like worse than monkey sial..

Wiz can do T6 just fine.
It is more tanky than WD.

It just can't compete with Cru and WD, in terms of burst damage. Period.

The mountain was just made out of the molehill.
Wiz needs a Kukri.

Yup, i do agree wizard is tankier thanks to frost nova, deflection and also black hole - event horizon.

Heat Wave : Now Increases damage to 475% weapon damage (up from 427%).
Arcane Attunement : Now increases damage by 4% per enemy hit (up from 2%).
Debilitating Force : Now reduces enemy damage by 20% (up from 10%) for 4 seconds (up from 3).
Electrocute
Forked Lightning : Now changes damage type to Fire.
Energy Twister
Mistral Breeze : Now reduces cost to 25 Arcane Power (down from 28).
Wicked Wind : Now deals 835% weapon damage (up from 743%)..
Explosive Blast : Cooldwon reduces to 3 seconds (down from 6 seconds).
Time Bomb has been removed and replaced with Flash : Reduce the cooldown of Explosive Blast to 3 seconds. / Explosive Blast's damage turns into Lightning.
Blizzard : Now deals 1075% weapon damage (up from 910%).
Unrelenting Storm : Now deals 1810% weapon damage (up from 1360%).
Stark Winter
has been removed and replaced with Apocalypse: Increase the area of effect of Blizzard to a 30 yard radius.
Grasping Chill
has been removed and replaced with Lightning Storm: Enemies affected by Blizzard take 20% increased damage from Lightning.
Snowbound : Now reduces cost to 10 Arcane Power (down from 13).
Frozen Solid : Now has a 100% chance (up from 40%) to freeze enemies for 2.5 seconds (up from 1.5).
Magic Missile
Conflagrate : Now reads that only your other spells refresh it, not all your fire damage.
Disintegrate : Now deals 390% weapon damage initially (up from 360%), increasing by 250% (up from 100%) per second, up to 890% (up from 860%).
Convergence : Now changes damage type to Fire.
Entropy : Now deals 435% weapon damage initially (down from 465%), increasing by 350% (up from 145%) per second, up to 1115% (down from 1190%).
Ray of Frost : Now deals 430% weapon damage initially (up from 380%), increasing by 450% (up from 115%) per second, up to 1240% (up from 955%).
Sleet Storm : Now deals 300% weapon damage initially (up from 285%), increasing by 220% (up from 90%) per second, up to 740% (up from 735%).

i think this imply that mm should only be used as an opener, follow up with your 'other spell' (whatever that means), most probably ur ap spender, kinda makes sense somewhat in concept (as in signature followed by spender), but its like a pretty big waste for a slot just for an opener at the end of the day...

meanwhile my RoF reaching full potential in 3 sec + blizzard freeze thingy + increase BH dmg is like kinda imba cool2.gif should be on par with wd. dont know if this will make it through ptr though.

erm... suddenly wonder, the paralyses passive indicate 'lightning spell', so does fork lightning still fall under this categories?

If yes, it will be OP... and nerfed. (can burn and stun for the whole screen!)
