why not. diminishing returns make the higher end gems less favored for the casual players

but for such a discrepancy then possible dupe lo or blizzard did a boo boo because most items is they batch upload one... lulz

Yeb, from the feedback I hear from gem traders, the rate they buy at is the same price, so either there's a big seller or actually our beloved company's been doing biz with gems "legally"

Flawed whining again.
Blizz don't make money from selling gems in D3 gold, unless it goes real fiat currency.
Just don't quite make sense.

Diminishing returns could be the reason.
For a Wiz, if he/she already has 1 radiant star emerald, how many does he/she need? Probably none.

Remember you said, diminishing returns? There is no business sense to do so.

Cannot argue with him one.

LYF's #1 theorycrafting guru. Many reasons: Demand and supply
LYF's #1 successful player
LYF's #1 trader

Everyone in teh world sees things in his perspective.

I mean for a wiz, if he/she already has 1 radian star emerald, why would he make another and then sell it at hehe MARKET hehe demand and supply HEHE price.

But yeah, listen to theorycrafting guru, who is also businesscrafting guru. Bliz dislikes market liquidity, doesn't help biz.

see it like stock market..
there could be some stock traded below its price to book value
but the book value is yet to be revised, for example a company own a piece of land which valuation was set 10 years ago

same goes to gem
i think it is something to do with diminishing return mentioned above,
the 2nd/3rd tier gem become more expensive, but the 1st tier gem is yet to reflect its true book value~

If you have budget, you can buy few.
The price could shoot up again if Blizz introduce 4 sockets Manticore. laugh.gif

Haha this is possible... when it comes to money.. got a lot of undertable things bound to happen...

at the end of day the disturbing fact is that it does not make business sense to make such gems with those prices...why make when u can buy... if then who's making them. maybe blizz or some exploited bug me guesses...

i think it's sign of people quitting, people want to sell everything fast, make some $$, and quit
for me i wouldn't care why the gem price become so low, but i will buy it if i think i can flip it, but now i will not buy, i think the price of everything will continue to drop until the notice of next maintenance

>100 players made radiant star gem
>out of 100, 70 quit and sell their gem on the market
>the remaining 30 already have the gem
>the new players are not that much
>thus, supply > demand

diablo3 offline...and be done with it...let us play the game how we like...and lock this darn entire forum.

if blizz wants money, get us to buy cheap USD$2-5 DLCs.

gem or no gem
dupe or no dupe
cheap or no cheap

well said polarbearz

price of anything is of course ultimately derived based on demand and supply

but 1m@asia? that's like 95% quit, remaining players fully equipped

if based on quitters then we must have had a lot of quitters by now who sold for rmah of which others bought cheap? i mean if quitters really just sold off everything then so much for them returning.. even for 1.0.5.

i can accept this if people are selling it cheap for real money.. but selling for less gold don't quite make sense. they'd take the gold and then lose even higher transaction fees @ rmah?
