Yup same like mine, turns out Dslam port is faulty and they even upgrade my modem to latest tm modem.

Oh, does changing the modem really works? Cause I didn't use TM's modem...I tried it once and the wireless coverage is weak.

So I changed back to my old 1mbps modem and linksys router.

hello guys, i'm new here.

just want to ask. last monday i upgrade my line from 1mbps to 4mbps via TM portal. i check status at my modem they not change my port to 4mbps. still 2084. i wonder will technician come to my house to check? until today still no call/respond from them .

It's the latest tm modem 2730E (market is 2730U). Higher gain antenna supporting N Wifi. Much larger coverage and faster wireless.
2640B was a problem. G Wifi range is very limited. Keep getting dc while connected. Previously planning to get a new router and this modem came. Using now so far so good.

You have to be sure your line is ok by testing it with another modem. Wireless coverage is due to the router.
Ya older tm router is not good compared to the newer batch.

You can always call TM streamyx at 1300889515 (charges apply) or 100 (free) using your fixed line.
Normally they will send technician to check your line for 4mb stability before upgrading you.

yeah your stat is good if your referring to SNR Margin and Attenuation both you have to divide by 10 (because all unit is 0.1) ex:
SNR Margin - Upstream (0.1 dB): 288 = 28.8
SNR Margin - Downstream (0.1 dB): 485 = 48.5
Attenuation - Upstream (0.1 dB): 79 = 7.9
Attenuation - Downstream (0.1 dB): 100 = 10.0

so the conclusion is your stat is very good biggrin.gif

but if the TM system say no port or dont support 4mbps they wont sent the technician over. Like mine ive go to their exchange they say they can support 4mbps but TM Point system havent update it took me over 4 month to ask TM update their system.

Yesterday I go to TM Point to pay bills and asking for an upgrade from 1MB to 4MB but they said "Cannot !! The area only support 1MB and 2MB only" . Then I went home sad.gif What a sad case .

when i call 100 they said the technician/contractor schedule to come 28 dec (friday). but didn't come. i call hp (contractor) number direct to voice-mail.

i think maybe i just upgrade my line from 1mbps to 4mbps, they lazy to come. just change the port. never mind. my line now already 4mbps.

but now, the package include wireless modem and dect phone. can i just collect at TM Point?

the wireless modem will be given during the installation by the technician and yes, the dect phone to be collected from any nearby TM Point to your place.

when you upgrade or install the new streamyx...there's a technician who come to your house...you should have his contact number...usually written on the blue form given to you after the installation process completed...

within 1 week, pls call the guy who did the installation for you...he is responsible...
