No problem. but if you really want to buy from taobao you must see the user's comment or review first if not you will be disapointed when the thing arrives haha.
That time when i get my machine for RM420 include shipping fees,Senheng is doing a Promotion for the delonghi ec155 only for RM450. I was like wtf that time if I know there is promotion earlier I will buy the EC155 already sweat.gif sweat.gif nod.gif

what I see on taobao are those lower end products are cheaper, highend goods I find them cheaper in states, little risk on fake too.

Here is a good hand grinder need some work

Considering the price difference.. lol tongue.gif
But yeah, no regrets so far.. and especially since you're in the States, it's cheaper to own one since you don't have to pay the hefty price of delivering it to your doorstep.

Did you lock the PF tightly in place? It shouldn't leak from the sides unless it's loose or gasket not fitting properly.. If the grind size is too fine.. at most you'll be choking the machine with nothing coming out..

I did lock the PF tightly, the leakage already occurs since the first week I get the machine. That time I'm using the stock pressurized basket and it did leak some if I tamp too hard. Now I'm using the other brand non pressurized basket and it will leak more than the pressurized basket sometimes when I grind too fine and tamp too hard although the basket size is the same hmm.gif hmm.gif

After testing out a couple of milk for steaming, found that no milk is the same.

GOD TIER
- Farmhouse fresh milk[pink package](*Most expensive milk, best microfoam)

BEST VALUE TIER
- Magnolia fresh milk (*Good amount of microfoam, decently priced)
- First Choice fresh milk (*Good microfoam consistency, decently priced)

SHIT TIER
- Happy Farm Fresh Milk [2L bottle with pink cover] (*Cannot get microfoam no matter how you steam it)
- Dutch Lady Full Cream Milk [blue packaging] (*Steaming this milk will result in gigantic bubbles appearing after steaming)

Getting proper microfoam is one thing.. the taste of the milk is more important. Previously, Magnolia was OK.. but now, I find that it has lost it's sweetness. Farmhouse is still my preferred choice although surprisingly, I recently tried Dutch Lady's Fresh Milk and it was not bad. Price wise, only 20 cents different.. I'd still go back to Farmhouse.

You can get microfoam with almost any milk.. even low fat or skim..

Hey hanny, i've just purchased the unpressurised basket as well from taobao. How much do you usually dose? Do you know how much the basket can hold ? I've experimented with 17g and it gushes out then i tried 18g and i think that would be the appropriate dose. I use to dose 14g for the stock pressurized filter basket, so i'm still trying to grab an idea on how much to dose for this filter basket. Anw what size tamper are you using, i'm using a 51mm and i feel that when i tamp the sides of the filter basket are uneven.

Have you pledged for it? I've also topped up for ceramic burrs.. Still skeptical about the grind consistency rivaling the Vario haha. But... But... I couldn't resist lol

Yup, i pledged for it last month. But damn sian gotta wait for at least half a year before it arrives. Don't know how it will fare, the review they gave looks promising though, able to match with baratza grinders.

Well it's still usd$170 for me to get something a little better as best to match my mcf. Not a grinder collector. Save that $$ and space for hg one better.

It's more for ppl here playing with cheap grinder to get a serious upgrade

No matter how fine I grind or how hard I tamped, I still couldn't prolong the extraction to over 25s, I can't even make it past 17s for god's sake.

Turns out the shim under the burr was too thin and all I had to do was added a ticket shim. Voila!
