actually i want clown fish that less aggressive..
i don't know about refugium rubble as love rock coz at my lfs are real live rock..
i think it's ok coz what we want is the creature on the rock ex coralline algae, good bacteria, etc..
what u plan to put on new tank??

maroon clownfish are the most aggressive of all, even towards same species they will be aggressive n hard to pair.

i think african n pecularia are okay together cause i saw lfs put them all in one tank whereas maroon one they separate n put in another tank.

in other words, ours is the lowest grade la. everything the same just price different. in US they have many types, they collect from Fiji n pacific ocean with the coralline algae all grown on.

i was trying to find alternative to live rock but there's none better.

if i not mistaken, there are some product to grow coralline algae..but I'm not sure what product is..
or if u have friend that run saltwater tank,u can ask him to give some coralline algae from his live rock..
to make the coralline grow faster, u need some additive and some trick..
1.turn of ur skimmer and filteration ( just water pump that make current in ur tank is on)
2.scrub rock that have coralline algae using knife or sharp tools (i use lidi satey..haha tongue.gif )
3.wait about 1 hour.
4.turn on all the equipment that ur off.

Hi, i plan to start a small marine aquarium in my study room. Any suggestion where can i view all the necessary equipment and setup in Klang Valley. Prefer a pet shop with wide marine variety and reasonable price. I just need a very small aquarium with cabinet to rear clown fish, some corals etc...really noob in this area but excited each time i saw colourful marine aquarium in midvalley.

if you want corals, den be prepared to spend about Rm250-RM400 for your aquarium.

Ittsg, Please don't scared people from getting Marine fish tank as they're dreaming of it...
Actually, keeping marine fish can start with smaller tank like 1.5ft (length) X 1ft (width) X 1ft (heigth). Cost only RM400- RM500 to buy the equipments.
There's no need to buy such a big tank just for starter, unless you're doing some big business & have $$$$$$ to buy big marine aquarium set to keep in your house.
