Added on November 19, 2009, 11:12 pmif i were u, i go to 3ft tank with sump pump(package and come with cabinet) it about rm 700..all u need to buy is skimmer, light,
wave maker and filter media (wool, carbon, phosphate remover, and etc..)
u also need to add some live rock..it all up to u,,only my suggestion..
hi ruknu, sorry for the late reply, was oversea for few wks
try not to host too many fish, 1 clown/anemone will better.
blue tang need rock to hide , get small one to start will be good, more chance of surviving

Hi, i plan to start a small marine aquarium in my study room. Any suggestion where can i view all the necessary equipment and setup in Klang Valley. Prefer a pet shop with wide marine variety and reasonable price. I just need a very small aquarium with cabinet to rear clown fish, some corals etc...really noob in this area but excited each time i saw colourful marine aquarium in midvalley.
go puchong, oceanic

just found a small crab in my tank.. its white and have like black spots on its body... size of a 5 cents.. cute looking buddy..but cant manage to take a picture of it.. always hide inside the rock..
just make sure is not carnivorous, it wil chew off your bottom dweller fish like goby and so on.

I plan to start a small tank with a budget of 500-600. But i really don't know which shop is more reliable and trustable as i'am worried i will be conned.
try to get the biggest tank possible, if your house have the space than go for 3ft else minimum 2ft
go and visit several shop first, see how ppl setup their overflow and sump, don't buy anything yet, learn & learn.
all your secondary school days knowledge will come into handy, biology, chemistry & physics.
this hobby can be cheap & very expensive, did help several frs setup their tank b4, most of them have bigger tank than mine even newbies.
lately just help make a skimmer for a 4ft reef, a nw skimmer for this vol of tank normally just throw you away with rm500-600
make ourself will cost around half but you need to have the time to do it.
