What gears do you need?

I have passed Bro Chun a few things
1. Rod and reel for you to perform light jig
2. a whole bagful of 40~120grams jig (easily close to hundred there, i believe)
3. jigging terminal tackles (consist of hooks, kevlar, solid ring, split rings, swivels, jigging spoons...etc)

whoa... that's 4 kilo..... of jigs

ahhh good enough,.. will collect from Chun.
its the rod and reel that is more important hehehe

Water depth: 40ft ~60ft (shallow)
Jig weight: 40~60gram
Action: Popping, casting and jigging
Cost: RM115 per pax. Max out at 7pax.

This is what i propose.
Since it's only shallow water, thus need not extreme size reel or extreme rods. It would not be tiring too, cos casting with jigs or lure, it's just light weight. Perhaps i should call this Feather Jigging.. LOL

Rod: 8~17lb
Reel: Any size reel that can contain 100m of 30lb
Line: 25~30lb braid

As for jig, swivel, split rings, solid rings, 7lam of leader per rod will be all kawtim by me. No need to big any jig or terminal tackle, just use mine. If lost, so be it At least i could minimise costing for you guys

In this case, anglers just need to bring rod, reel and line only

veritas spinning rod is damn light, as if u're holding paper but i heard its quite fragile, my gf is using but so far no prob..

Remember to take peektures of ofbn jigging... Wished that i Am not on standby this weekend...

LYN Anglers CWS outing.

Just wanna share some info bout Puchong Prima, after speaking to some kaki recently and they were fishing on the wrong side of the lake.
There used to be a lot of fishing spots around the lake but with all the recent land reclaiming and constructions, we are left with just one spot to fish now.

North east of the lake is another hot spot but a lot of rubbish coming from the town drainage system.
See attached pic below.
The yellow box area were hot spots last time but its now all yellow mud soil with active land reclaiming.
If you intend to go fish there, head down south east (red Circle) of the lake where the Asia Water sport pick up point is. Look around for the TNB power station as your landmark.
Fishing boat rental is also at that same spot.

Do go early, splashes activities starts as early as 630am.

I think this is the Toman and haruan pond my colleague told me of in Putra Perdana.
Will go check it out next weekend.
Again,.. can anyone in living in that area confirm this??
No path to the lake, and the jungle terrain looks wild, time to sharpen your parangs and bring some food & drinks to explore.

Didn't even know there's a pond there. Will drop by and have a look if i pass by that area

Dunno can get in or not,.. now a days all housing area seal themselves up with gated community.
If not Prima area where Lake view town Villa side plenty fishes.

Rent a boat and access it through the pond instead of land base. If not mistaken Digital has boat renting services

puchong prima got a lot PB, thing is, as i've read from other blogs and forums, u got to take a boat out to the small "island" in the middle there, it seems there PB damn a lot. i've given up hope on this lake , every lures u throw in, the haruans and tomans there know exactly the brand of the lure lol...

When to the right side box area b4. that place looks haunted, anyway I double check 2morow since I'm working in puchong

puchong got too many lakes and ponds for me to miss out this one from the map, i've gone to a lot of them, but catch rate really sucks, or maybe my skill "beh ki", haha..btw if we have parangs and phua chu kang boots, there is a place i really wanna explore, looks to me like a virgin lake/pond, but very hard to go in, thick jungle terrain

Added on September 20, 2012, 6:50 pmwent check out this pond b4 oso, quite small, but i stand there for like half and hour, 0 activity seen, side oso kenot c any small fish, very quiet, never cast in though. its actually inside a parking area, meaning u can basically park ur car right next to the water, easy access, if got fish i think shud b crowded but no one is fishing there. anyone tried b4, pls conform, i oso hope puchong still got HOPE..haha

Yeah that small island there is up north side of the lake near the longkang besar part. Heard there a lot of fishes but wont bite.
OK cun la,.. now got 2 lakes to go explore heheeh putra perdana and the one you pointed.

some addition info:
got a pb zone at the southeast side of the prima lake, near the row of grey houses.
there's this malay guy i know who rents his boat out complete with thruster at the lake for a fee. he can guide u to the hot spots for toman n pb's.

If you zoom in and enlarge your pic, you can see one small longkang leading to the lake.
But from the looks of the pic, those green grassy area may be wet lands and soft soil. Careful when you explore, may be sinking soil.

Quite sure the puchong forest reserve got some nice lubuk in there.
Theres a waterfall in that forest and nice hiking trail.
