Please do update ya.

Bro ED,
No tentative date yet ler. If can, then we could do alot of other arrangements.. biggrin.gif

Tat's fast! biggrin.gif

Bro Inv,
Since you are the key person in communication with CWS, can i suggest that you take charge of this little tourney? Am sure alot of us here would be able to assist if there's any assistance required biggrin.gif

Any registration fees for this? Rm50 perhaps? Champion gets a Garmin fish finder? LoL

Bro ED,
After Oct as in after 31st Oct?

aikks...

What gears do you need?

I have passed Bro Chun a few things
1. Rod and reel for you to perform light jig
2. a whole bagful of 40~120grams jig (easily close to hundred there, i believe)
3. jigging terminal tackles (consist of hooks, kevlar, solid ring, split rings, swivels, jigging spoons...etc)

QUOTE(1dollar @ Sep 20 2012, 07:14 PM)
If you zoom in and enlarge your pic, you can see one small longkang leading to the lake.
But from the looks of the pic, those green grassy area may be wet lands and soft soil. Careful when you explore, may be sinking soil.

Quite sure the puchong forest reserve got some nice lubuk in there.
Theres a waterfall in that forest and nice hiking trail.

Kena kaw kaw sinking soil during our recent camp out... LOLpractically my whole left leg went submerged with just a gentle step

for those going on ofbn trip this sunday, just a gentle reminder on items u should bring:
1. Sunblock
2. Split ring plier
3. Gloves - if u doing lots of jigging
4. 20 cent Knife - if u plan to cut some bait for bottom.
5. Sea sick pills - veloxin recommended

anyone care to add more...

Consider Novomin too.

Bring plaster in any case.

Just a reminder for Jigger. Please set your line leader to at least 5~7 lam length (1 lam = wide spread arm). This is to prevent the jig from flying out of water and hammered someone/yourself... LOL

btw, this was from location scouting at shah alam few days ago. water was very clear. did some casting from landbase along the edges but no activity. silent. perhaps taking a boat seems like a better option  hmm.gif :

2nd - 4th pond ayer hitam forest reserve ponds.

only 2nd pond can be access thru the residential areas.
the others are quite hard, due theres a big drainage n fences in between.
very potential since its forest reserved.

here the picture of the lake inside ayer hitam forest , personally i haven reach the lake before
i try to enter the area 2 times , 1 stop by orang asli , 1 stop by ranger

and from the info i get is the main lake is quite deep inside the forest , take around 2 hours to reach the site.

Bro Katsumoto,
I just checked GE and dont see anything resembling the lake you posted ler.. but there are couple of lakes by the road side tho, not the 2 hours hike thingy.

Where did you enter from?

i think it's a bang for bucks... cos it's with thruster.

As far as i can see from the list...
1. Thruster = approx RM700 for 30lb
2. car battery = dunno what series but assuming the lowest at NS40 = RM140
3. Transom board = close to RM200 last i know off
4. Paddle = RM100 each
5. pumps = RM150
6. inflatable boat??? = you do the math!!
