QUOTE(bingozero @ Nov 1 2012, 07:32 PM) QUOTE Maxis Sure Signal requires connectivity to a minimum available bandwith of 1Mbps. It extends your service coverage indoors, where access would otherwise be limited. Seem like is using your internet connection and turn into a 3G data |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 1 2012, 07:37 PM) Already read the faqs:What does Maxis Sure Signal connect to? A fixed broadband connection from any operator with the minimum available bandwidth of 1Mbps (for voice only) perhaps USB MODEM? A power socket running at 240V AC A compatible modem/router with an additional Ethernet port Open network firewall Seem like it do with an wired internet connection only This post has been edited by bingozero: Nov 1 2012, 07:46 PM |

QUOTE(bingozero @ Nov 1 2012, 07:45 PM) Already read the faqs: it's the so called femtocell solution from Maxis to reduce indoor signal coverage issues. other countries' service providers give discounts on the calls and messages made/sent through this solution as you're using your broadband connection to connect to the service provider's network. they don't have to invest any infrastructure to improve your indoor signals or the surrounding areas. looks like it supports calls, messages and data. Data speed will be depending on your broadband's speed. What does Maxis Sure Signal connect to? A fixed broadband connection from any operator with the minimum available bandwidth of 1Mbps (for voice only) perhaps USB MODEM? A power socket running at 240V AC A compatible modem/router with an additional Ethernet port Open network firewall Seem like it do with an wired internet connection only however, Maxis doesn't provide this type of benefit - discounts. theoretically, we can use our 3G modem via router to provide the required network, via LAN cable of course. Anybody know how much is this? This can be used as signal repeater, i'm supposed This post has been edited by maxcheam: Nov 1 2012, 10:18 PM |

I got my ZTE MF680 today, yes again.
But very weird la this modem... Instead of purple LED, I get blue... Fine. But it is blinking every second. I still can connect. When I disconnect it, it is blue colour static, once connected blinking again. |

Once connected it is blinking if there is usage If high usage it should switch to purple You face same issue with one of my client, need to change the dashboard to the newer one if you do detect ZTE at device manager but driver issue. |

Hmm.. It seems that Maxis lost their H/3G service in Ukay Perdana area. My phone, wife's and my broadband are gone since afternoon. Maybe the hujan knocked their dishes.
Now worse, not even a G. Bukit Antarabangsa, Wangsa Maju area are not affected from what I can see. Just came back from Skyfall at WW. |

i've received my MR-3420 today and here's my ST (MF680 without Yagi),
![]() still cannot get high speed 2x Mbps to 3x Mbps..can i ask Maxis to open up or set the QoS of the base station to 42000? as u guys know, Maxis has rolled out their new data plans in which no matter which package u have applied for, the speed is 42Mbps..is this a good reason for me to tell them to change the QoS? no matter what I did as in direct USB plug in (enhanced port), use Yagi or use MR-3420, I'm still unable to get high DL speeds |
