To those who are interested to know how HSD works, this site shows a very good animation: http://www.eahart.com/prius/psd/
This helps to understand what's going on inside our Prius when we drive |

Last few days saw quite a number of PC on the road. That a good sign. So to say the volume is increasing day by day. Toyota should form a club for prius family. Just like they did it for Unser last time. I still miss my lovely Unser. They send a key chain to us as a member and had many events as well.

Like to have your opinions on the PC color. Which 2 colors would you choice for your PC?
1) Lime White Pearl 2) Silver Metallic 3) Black Mica 4) Citrus Orange Mica Metallic 5) Super Red V 6) Aqua Mica Metallic 7) Blue Metallic For me, I would like to go for 1) Lime White Pearl and 2) Silver Metallic. But I think Lime White Pearl and Black Mica looks cool |

Lime White Pearl, Black Mica and Super Red V are not Metallic paint, right? |

Hi Guys.
Out of 8 bars of battery power, I noticed that the max I could achieve with charging by engine is 6 bars. Then there was a few occasions it got from 8 to 9 bars when I applied on the brake. I have never achieve max of 8 bars of battery power. I checked with my SA, who is driving a prius 1.8, and he told me that he has only seen 80-90% battery charged so far for normal use (he will double check for me though)... The Q: The maximum power that the engine can charge the battery is up to 6 bars, and the final 2 bars can only be achieve with regenerative brake (e.g. coming down from Genting)? |

like to share my experience in taman shamelin cheras service center. I have posted in the forum before that after i did my 2nd service there, my fc dropped significantly from 889km full tank to 730km. on that service, i also asked them to replace my wiper because the wiper always make a stain on my wind screen that blocking my screen.
on that day, a manager (edward) and engineer (Ah boy) is handle my service, the service just a normal service, but i notice they adjusted my brake, i thot that is normal so i just drive back. after 2 weeks of used, i realise my fc dropped so i drive back to sc. the manager edward told me ah boy is no longer working there and he will allocate another engineer for me to test my car. that engineer seems dont know anything about prius c and he plug in his device and start reading, we went out for test drive and he seems no idea on those running figure. and when stop, he just tell me, everything is normal.... (wtf...!) i asked him what is normal, which is the international figure that should prove "ok". he dont know how to answer my question and he told me he not sure what had been done on the car by the last engineer. (WTFx2!) i asked them it should be a standard service and why u all adjust my handbrake, and he tell me the brake also get adjusted... and he asked me to press the brake pedal lighter... (wtfx3!) i asked him to call the ah boy to explain, and he tell me he already resigned.... (wtfx4!!!) i asked him to adjust back everything, and he give me so many excuse and seems he dont know how to fix hybrid car... what the hell all these about? the sc engineer only know how to change motor oil? contribute x10 more expensive on the workmanship just to get reply on they dont know how to fix back that they spoilted?! his reason is totally not acceptable! after that i talk to their manager edward again and he said he will raise a case to hq and assign the so called "malaysia hybrid expert team" to diagnose my car. but the team only got 1 in malaysia. and the waiting time is "unknown". i asked him about the wiper issue, he straighaway tell me wiper no warranty, i tell him the wiper is a defect unit and it blocking my view because it will mark a rubber stan after each swap. he said he will put a polish on my windscreen but it have to take me whole day.. im thinking here, why polish my wind screen need a whole day?! it should be very straight forward by just wipe with a span right? it only take him 5 minutes to complete the job, i can guess he trying to make me trouble and want to give up the complaint. but nvm, i do have time, i said i will come tomorrow to do that. (i did come to fix it on tomorrow and he ask me to test for some days.) after a weeks, i realises the situation doesn't get any better. i drive back after a month, i asked them to view on my car, the sc just reply me again "no warranty". this time i have no patient anymore, i straight away shout on the sc. i tell them u all asked me to come so many time and ask me to test it and return back when problem reoccured. now the problem happend and u just so easy to reply "no warranty?!" i also asked them how about the FC issue? why no people followup? the manager "Lim" just reply, it should be a driver behavior on fc issue... (i really going mad now). i asked them dont threat me like a dumb, i said i will report it to the toyota customer service center and put in the forum how is this sc threat their customer. that manager just reply me "it is your choice" (wtf...!) i asked him so what is should do now? he said he will help me personally to report to the HQ about my concern and will return a call to me after 1 week. thursday, i called them my self (after 12days passed), and the guy said will return call me asap. but.... until now still no call from anyone. i think this is enough... i posted here and hope u all can see it. avoid TAMAN SHAMELIN CHERAS TOYOTA SERVICE CENTER!!!!!!!!!! (owned by Wing Hin Motor Sdn Bhd) reason? 1. they will spoils your prius. 2. they dont know how to fix your prius after they spoilt it. 3. they will threat u like dumb 4. the engineer in that SC only know how to change motor oil. 5. when u want to make complaint? they said they area okay, because toyota need them more than customer. i do found few complain on the same service center, eg http://www.nccc.org.my/v2/index.php/home/1...ntre?format=pdf you should able to see how pro are them. |

Anyway honestly, my car FC also drop abit after my 2nd service. I heard my friend said all due to the new engine oil, somehow maybe the engine oil haven't smooth enough/adapt to it & affect the power of the engine. Guess after another KMs drive should back to normal/optimum. Please made a call & email to Toyota customer service, hope they will able help you. sbsoo,
U said they adjusted your brake, as u noticed something. Is it the hand brake level? If it is the lever level, simply ask the SC to loosen it back a little. The lever only connects to the rear drum brakes. The shoes are brought closer to the drum when the lever is adjusted, and perhaps it was too close and caused too much friction, hence the increased in fuel consumption. Any mechanic shop can readjust the drum brakes if SC plays dumbo. All cars with drum brakes will noticed that the lever will be able to pull further away as they driver over the years. This happens when the shoes wears and gets further away from the drum. Hope this helps you to envision what could have happened to your P.C. n rest easy that SC is not the only way, but of course, do NOT tell SC that u had visited an outside workshop.
